is it true that the ps3 is going to be 600$ man I want it but I dont have that kind of money

yea, but im gonna get the 500 dollar one, sony even said for themselves that the 500 dollar one is more 4 gamers

or if you wanted you could jsut get a $400 360 which is more for gamers aswell

or a $200 wii,
which is aslo for gamers

I’m defintely getting the $600 Ps3. i only got about $250 left on it. so by the time Nov. 17th hits, i just gotta pay $50! you guys should do wut i did... i mean, when i pick up my console, i’ve got so much cash to spend on games and controllers, it’s ridiculous! HD gaming at it’s best baby!

ps3 aint expensive at all.
u can get a 60 gb ipod for 600 $ and a 60 gb ps3 for 600$ ipods the most popular mp3 player so ps3 is bound to be the most popular console

as for me the price wont even make my eye twitch. its gona cost around 1200 here yet not even a twitch

Man 600 dollars for a PS3, and damn I wanted that PS3, but damn it’s to much damn money. Damn, it’s a good thing that aconcept like a price drop exist, and it’s a damn good thing that we will have Wii(Try sayig that really fast, it’s kinda a She sells sea shells by the sea shore thing, or maybe not ).

Don’t forget that Sony and retailers are still discussing if they should charge $150 pre-order fee to avaoid the eBay scheme. So if Sony passes it you would actually end up paying $200, not $50. And what if the PS3 games really do end up costing $80 or even $100? Anyway, I’m not going to end up paying too much for Wii, and the games still won’t cost more than $50.

Gosh! I know you’re only 16, so let me explain it to you as simple as i can... If they do put a $150 minimum downpayment, that means that people who decide to pre-order the PS3 would have to put a minimum downpayment of $150. that means, at pick-up, the remaining balance of their $600 PS3 purchase would be $450 because of the earlier $150 downpayment. the $150 isn’t an additional charge to the consumer. it is just the MINIMUM downpayment for a preorder of a PS3. I’ve already put down $350, so even if they did enforce the $150 minimum downpayment, it wouldn’t effect me. It’s like preordering a game. Everywhere i’ve been, the minimum downpayment would be $5. that goes toward the balance of my purchace. it isn’t an additional charge or fee. so... if the game is $49 + tax, I my remaining balance at pick-up would be $44 + tax. get it now?

please, if anyone else gets this, explain to this guy as best as possible. even after this explanation, i still don’t think this guy would get it.

What other multimedia features does the PS3 have? Well, I’m sure we already have them at home.

Anyway, there is no need to get another set of the same media features that you already have at home. I see PSP users bragging that PSP plays games, music, and movies but they never use it to actually watch movies or listen to music. The one thing that Sony totally screwed up on with the PS3 is that the name of the game is still games, not multimedia features and raw power. If sony wanted to put so many features in the PS3, they should of at least made the features game related. Look at Wii, it has tons of features that are all related to games and help to make the gaming experience better (with the exception of the DVD player, but that is an optional add-on). But look at the PS3, how is a movie player or music player related to games? If people want a multimedia system they can get one for less than the PS3. And Sony has to stop being so smug, they say the next generation doesn’t start until they say it does. Well just because PS3 didn’t come out doesn’t mean it’s true. Technically the next generation started last year with the Xbox 360, but Wii will not be in the next generation. Because Wii isn’t just next, it’s completely new.

What really pisses me off is that usually the only arguements I hear from PS3 fanboys is that the PS3 has so many features. So what? Those features are unnessesary, this war is meant for gaming consoles, GAMING CONSOLES, not Blu-Ray or Linux. The PS used to be about games and now look what happened, the PS3 gameplay barely changed from PSone gameplay. Sure it will have a tilt sensitive controller, but has Sony even announced any games that even use that feature? PS3 has become all about gimmicks. You’ll think it sounds good now and that it looks amazing. But what you see is not always what you get, playing is believing.

Then why get a game console if you could already play games on the computer? and, know that u don’t own a PSP and I do, people do watch movies and listen to music on their PSPs. heck, I even watch TV on mine, especially when I’m at the doctor’s office or something. or when i’m at a coffe shop... I prop my PSP and watch the news while i’m drinkin' away. then, when i get up to walk around the mall, I listen to some music. everything’s all right there in my PSP.

and as for the PS3, I don’t know about u, but i don’t have a DVD player that’ll upscale video to 720p or 1080i. and, I can access EVERY media on the PS3 with my PSP... from anywhere with a wifi connection.
