So let me get this straight. Gamers are mad at something because they can’t do things illegal. Is that what I’m getting at from my understanding of DRM, digital rights management.

No. They are mad because of the limit on installs. Lets say you can only install the game twice. Your computer crashes once, and you install it again. Now you can never install it again.

I agree, and what about mods from people that require you to uninstall and re install a fresh version of the game?

They need to re think this, but not dump the idea all together/

Haha you see what pirates and modders have pushed companies to do. Serves them right. I feel no remorse for people who have issues with this or people complaining about it. Don’t blame EA or the game makers. Blame the people that do the illegal shit. /rant
