Ps2 not working. Any idea what's wrong?

I Turn on my ps2, enter the part in browser where you can play the game or check your memory card. I select the disc (Play game) and it goes blank for a few seconds, then returns to the selection. I tried this with a couple of other games, and it also did this. Any ideas?

As they said it may be the lens, or maybe your PS2’s time has come.

If you can’t get it working again, you can always look to ebay for a new one.
