PS3 or XBox 360

I am thinking of buying one of them but i dont know which one to get. I am used to the playstation paddles. I know Xbox has Halo which is a plus for that. But I also want to use it as a computor in my bedroom. So which ever one is better at online. Just give me your reasons why you like one of them.

My personal experience with the PS3 has been nothing but bad, i dont use it and it is literally collecting dust under my TV. On the other hand, some of the best games i have played this gen have neen on the PS3 (MGS4, Uncharted, Uncharted 2), PSN runs kinda choppy, and its not my connection, i have an excellent connection.

The 360 on the other hand isnt perfect either, the dashboard lags like crazy, meaning that if your finger slips in the middle of a match and you hit the guide button, it will take you a good 3-5 seconds to get back into the action. I have also had 2 360’s die on me in the last 3 years, but now they have HeatSink and the 65nm chip, meaning that they wont get the RRoD. XBL cost money to play online, but its only $50 USD a year and from my peersonal experience its infinitely better than PSN.

and the good games will keep on coming, we get Mass Effect 2 in January of 2010, exclusive GTA IV DLC on the 28th of October, Halo: Reach next year, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Gears of War 3, and im excited for “Project Natal”, the 360 will be getting a lot of good games.

Then again, Sony is remaking both God of War games from last gen for PS3.

I would personally go with the 360, i have had a lot more fun with it than my PS3.

i would go for the ps3 for these reasons: It has built in wifi so you wouldn’t need to connect it directly to an Ethernet cable if you have a wireless router. The PSN (playstation Network) is free to all playstation owners, and is great for online play. also the psn has the playstation store which is great for downloading free demos, videos, trailers, wallpapers and themes and psn games which only cost you little. Go and search more on the internet, many websites should have discounts in xmas time.

More game demos seem to come out for it then the PS3..or so it seems.
And it doesnt lag for me on the dashboard but does sometimes in a live game.
I just over all like it better.

Get a Ps3 if you want the best value for your buck, like watching blue-ray videos, like a slick looking machine (piano black which is also a fingerprint magnet however), like free online, like the large GB drives, like Ps, Ps2 and Ps3 games, a smoother game console

Get a 360 if you want the best gaming experience, like customizing your game console with face plates, like halo

If you are an addict to Winning Eleven, you should go for PS3, it also can be a Blu-ray player, which cost a few hundred dollars, ps3 has got a right track on this fabulous function. Free online, the games are awesome, the ps3 is reliable(Crapbox isn’t).

Ps3 is a great all round media player to boot. PS3 allows cheap off the self Hard drive to be used for replacing hard drive(Crapbox is limited to MS rip off priced lower capacity hard drives).

Now the PS3 Slim is out it offer miles better value for your cash compared to Crapbox. Once you factoring all the extra’s required add-ons/costly services for Crapbox, it ends up been very expensive.
