This game has been announced and confirmed numerous times but of course we are always waiting for an official announcement. Well OMN UK has confirmed this. From Gonintendo who’s got the news:
Red Steel 2 has been in development for nearly a year now. The goal is to provide better graphics, controls, AI, and basically everything else you would expect from a sequel. As we had hoped for, online play is going to be included as well.

kool...but i hated the original. This feels like a “Killzone 2” because they’re fixing all the original prblms from the first game.
I really only liked the splitscreen multiplayer in Red Steel. If anyone ever played it you’d know how awesome it was. Was kinda like taking a step back to Goldeneye in a few areas.
But the game had flaws. Bad storyline, predictable story progression, boring gameplay progression that didn’t change, no online, alright AI, and of course controls that didn’t par up to the much better Call of Duty 3 at the time.
They seem to be fixing all of it, at least from this article, except the story one which I’d love to see them really take a risky and radical direction.
Definetly. Can’t wait. I mean MOHH2 online is awesome, its just there’s not a whole lot of people online. Now when Red Steel 2 gets online there will be a hell of a lot more people.
Ya know I wouldn’t have a clue. MOHH2 shows that 16 on 16 or 32 all is very capable on the Wii, as I hardly ever experience lag. But it’s really going to depend how the game balances out.
Um really no dev has done any downloadable content for Wii, except GHIII is supposed to get DLC for Wii. But up until now no one has even done it, which is surprising.
