why won’t bullets and the energy sword work on the commandos armor...

with the armor u need stronger attacks besides a piece of metal trying to penetrate some highly adavanced armor

that’s where beams and lasers and so on coems in because they r way stronger than bullets

well beams burn through targets and bullets puncture them so if a bullet had enough velocity wouldn’t it be able to pierce the armor... I mean the troopers armor doesn’t appear to be that tough... and I doubt the armor is able to withstand direct contact with plasma so the sword might work...

no i said teh sword is pretty much useless btu yeah the sword can be used

but the bullet thing, none of the guns r strong enough and knowogn how thick and advanced teh armor is they r useless, except maybe the face but that’s too small of a target at far range

if the armor is so thick than how do beams pierce it... if it can stop a bullet dead in it’s tracks then it would take hundreds of laser beam shots to burn a hole through it... and how exactly is the plasma sword useless if beam weapons are effective...

no plasma swords aren’t entirely useless btu the thought of usign em in battle is impractical
as its mainlyu used by berserkers just to strike fear into the enemy

plus the armor has resistance to melee weapons

but beams r way stronger than a bullet, plus its fiction so somethings just can’t be explained that well

The energy rounds don’t even pierce the armor. A bullet would.

beams are not necessarily stronger... they just use a different means of doing damage... a bullet actually has a distinct advantage in puncturing armor than lasers do since they are a sharpened metal point and bury themselves within a target not just burn the top layers of it... and if the armor is immune to bullets than lasers and beam weapons should just heat up the surface of the armor and not actually do much damage until the area is hit numerous times... it doesn’t make sense that the armor is resistant to bullets and yet takes so much damage from lasers...

and how can an armor have resistance to melee weapons when the weapon uses the same energy as the gun ammunition that the armor takes hits from... if anything a melee weapon would be devestating to the armor since it is such concentrated energy swung with terrific force... and besides the commando armor is vulnerable to light sword attacks so why not plasma sword attacks... they are basically the same thing...

im not saying to is totally immune to sword attacks just resistant

and its fiction, notice how the beams neverpierce the armor in yet the soldier still dies

I’ve also wondered why bullets do damage. Probably for gameplay purposes. But he never actually takes damage from bullets. His shield is hit, but his armor is never pierced. Only once, after numerous shots from a plasma pistol (in the books, the plasma pistol is uber-strong) did MKV armor get pierced by anything. MKV, not MKVI.

well then we can assume that bullets do affect the armor unless there is proof to the contrary... and the plasma sword would also work exceedingly well also since lightsabers seem to cut the armor in two...

lightsabers r pure energy and far mroe powerful than plasma swords, they cut through anything

but bullets would bounce off the armor

but the spartans have weird armor

hmm i also wonder why bullets pierce their armor... I mean they don’t pierce tank armor and it seems to me that chief’s suit is pretty close to that...

yeah, MC’s armor does seem almost as strong as tank armor
but i’d just say that his armor would have tha same effect with bullets, they just bounce off

The Chief’s armor is better than Scorpion tank armor. His armor is Titanium Alloy plates intertwined with kevalar (black areas are kevlar, green sheets are titaniumA). But the tank armor is steel. So, the Chief should be invincidble.
