considering the amount of time the developers of insomniac(who dont make very good graphical games) had such a short time to make the game for the ps3 its actually quite good, and when u shoot a window it doesnt all just break and fall out, every time u shoot it, it makes a different crack and the whole thing doesnt fall out, u have to see footage of it to beleive it.

development began in early '05 under the code name “I-8”; Gears of War also began development around that same time and looks much better in motion.

Well, I’m glad resistance is so good at simulating window breakage. That’s very important in next-gen games. Also, while insomniac had less time with dev. kits, they had plenty of time to work with the RSX and other components of the PS3. Plain and simple, gears of war looks better.
That being said, don’t immediately assume that graphics make gears a better overall game. Resistance and gears are two completely different types of FPS’s (Twitch vs. strategic). The “better” one is merely a preference.
I think this isnt a very good argument cause we all know that these arent both going to be amazing games. We should look forward to games next year like GTA 4 and Halo 3

It isn’t fair to judge these two graphicly even if they have both had that much time on the game because Insomniac only got final PS3 dev kits from back in July, while Epic have been able to work on final hardware for much longer.
