I relize that the orignal got some bad reviews but I am going to put forward some things to make it better.
Gameplay aspect:
Hand to hand combat, I want a more advanced hand to hand combat system, I relize homing attacks are all good but I want some other mechanics besides that and simple kicks like in the first.
The guns can stay but make more variety, Like I wanna see some creative weapons as well as some regular guns we would see in life.
Better controls, I noticed that(At least with the PS2 version) the controls were kinda meh, I think they should improve those and kind make it more lax.(Also Shadow should be able to sun in all directions on the walls instread of just one direction) this would make for good gameplay mechanics(Opposite of the first level in the hero story ending of SA2B anyone?
More Chaos powers. I wanna see Chaos Spear,Chaos Control, and Chaos blast as well as maybe a few new ones.(Perhaps used in different forms, such as Chaos Control freezing an area in time, or teleporting somewhere of a distance depending on something that SHOULD be in the next game if it were to be made, a Chaos Meter, basically a gauge of how much Chaos energy you have.
This an addition to the last one, charging up Chaos powers to determine power.
Adventure, I want it sortive like in SA1 where you can walk around cities, only make it a good bit better, I will describe this idea more below.

The whole good/neutral/evil thing:
Concerning the adventure thing, I think there should be an evil and Hero meter. But not at all like the last game. Think Marrowind for a sec. If you can go in town, and just beat up on random people and get an evil meter and for the good meter, beat up on Eggman robots and such like that.
I want there to actually some more good endings, sure there were a few pretty good endings in the last game, but I want something more you know that will actually affect things, such as if you are evil you blow away earth with the Eclipse Canon, on another note, make the last story optional for good and evil choices too. That would be pretty epic.
Graphics:
Well depending upon the system, preferribly PS3 or one of the higher graphics ones, I want the graphics to resemble that of Oblivion. Imagine the detail they could put in games now. However we all know Sega and Nintendo making the story would be better than Sony doing it potentially. So it COULD have a good story and graphics, the best of both worlds eh?
Story:
I am open for this one because I am not sure what the plot line could be just yet. Perhaps it could be about pre Sonic, like on the arc and such, exploring in even greater detail Shadow’s past. More about Shadow’s relationship with Maria and the Robotnik family and also more about the governments seize of the Colony. Of course that would come in the middle or something, I think Shadow should have some other thing happen with some cool villain before he gets sealed(Sealed like he was in SA2 Thats my opinion but tell me what you guys think.
Somehow, an incredibly powerful demon emerges after the seal on it is broken. Sonic tries to be the Hero but is quickly beaten near death, than frozen in magic.
Shadow could use abilitys like Chaos fire and Chaos ice. There could be other elmental based Chaos attacks. He could learn magic from beating bosses. After you complete a level, you can go back with all your current abilitys. Should Shadow have a health bar or keep the ring system?

Which is why they should scrap the CC=Good Chaos power and CB=Evil Chaos power thing, they should just make Chaos powers have a cost of the Chaos meter and you have to let your meter recharge or maybe it recharges with rings?

Well I was thinking this is a good bit in the past enough for Sonic to not be a twinkle in his father’s eye yet. But yes, I think the whole demon thing should be done by some G.U.N scientists or something, what I mean by that is, they discover some kind of ancient seal and they accidently unleash it upon the world.
The ring system I would say keep because it gives you the feel of classic Sonic games, but a health bar would work too.

I agree with that. This may seem unoriginal but maybe after the game is beaten with shadow, and he does a consistent amount of evil deeds you can play as sonic to attempt to rectify the problems shadow caused. It will make the gameplay longer that way.

Shadow should also have a better Melee weapon system. When you pick one up, instead of having how many strikes you have to hit the enemy they can have a stress bar. It goes up every time you hit an enemy, but go down when your not using it. If the stress bar goes up to much, the sword or other melee weapon breaks. Plus, they should have combos with melee weapon.

I, personally, love the game. The gameplay never bothered me. Though it did have problems. It still was a good game.

Well thats what you do throughout the first play through of the game. Beating suped up demons with Chaos emeralds. How about a level on the face of the Moon, with demons native to it?
