should cheats be used in video games?

In my opinion, cheats ruin the game. I think there shouldnt be any cheats, unless your just playing around in GTA.

I think they are pretty fun. But should only be unlocked once you BEAT the game.

meh they’re finesometimes someone just doesn’t have the ability to beat a room or something cheats can really come in handy to help advance but not to be used to beat the whole thing...I did that once made my person invinsible....still found a way to get killed though

yes i totally agree it does ruin the game......i meen how many people have actually beat gta without cheats huh lol and when they actually do beat it they make themselves sound all kool tht they beat gta but when reality comes around they really cheated to beat it

yeah tony hawk cheats are good except for perfect grind always special zero gravity and other things tht make you get like a 100,000,000,000 combo lol

if you already beat it and you are just messing around go ahead and use some cheat but if it your first time playing that game and you use cheat to beat it i don’t think that right but then again that just me and also it wrong to use cheats when playing against other people

They can’t actively remove cheats for games, because cheats all have a purpose. They are orriginally placed in the game for game testers. It allows the testers to get to various area’s in the game, to test out different functions without having to go through the process of beating the game. If you were a game tester, you would appreciate the ability to jump from level to level, instead of having to play for 15+ hours just to try out 1 thing that might or might not work.

Cheating in games can be a good and bad thing.

Good:

Only after you beat the game and what to have some fun differently, only good to toy around with friends, good to unlock stuff that can be hard as hell. (Heck if I found a F-Zero AX arcade game and I had my memory card at the time I would easyily have unlocked all the 13 secert racers and the hidden cup. It is also fun in games like Half-life 2 I love to mess with the physics.

Bad: If you absoulity suck at the game and you do this just to move on or if you have no skill in multiplayer games and try to find gliches or try to hack or mod to your advangtage that you make the game suck. Meaning I hate the people who try glitching in Halo 2 and Metroid Prime Hunters, what could be really annoying are those who use AR for Pkm D/P during online battles. I have lost count of how many people I have faced so far but many of them had the allowed legendaries and it was annoying because they were not even creative in trying to make a different team. I can live with starters on a team but using legendaries is for noobs and the many little kids who play the game but have no clue on what to even do.

well what if it’s a game you like cheats canh help, like I’ve been stuck on a game I liked because it was s oeasyto die, so I put on invincible to get me past a part

If it is a very hard game like the first Contra I would use the cheat to get 30 lives.
