Should you harvest or rescue Little Sisters in Bioshock 2?

Since I’ve started another Bioshock 2 run (Hard, no vitachambers, DRILL-ONLY challenge), I’ll need as much adam as I can put my dick in. So, I decided to do a lil' sumthin called MATH.

But I need some help. I can’t remember after which lil' sister saved you get that gene tonic that allows you to harvest 20 more adam for each body. After the 5th saved lil' sister? After the 4th? I can’t remember, ARGH!

So, until someone tells me, I’m desconsidering it.

Desconsidered the gene factor, each body harvested is 40a, when you save the little sister, you get 80a. Each little sister can harvest 2 bodies, so a fully used saved little sister would net 160. Harvesting a little sister is 160a, so harvesting it right off the bat means the same as harvesting 2 bodies and then saving her. If you choose to harvest bodies and THEN harvest the little sister, that’s 40*2+160 = 240, so desconsidering the Gift she gives every now and then, harvesting is obviously the best choice.

But I also NEED to know how much does Eleanor give you as a gift after x sisters saved. Depending on the number of sisters saved, and considering the tonic you win from the first gift, I believe Saving will ultimetly net you more adam than harvesting.

If you are going no Vita, you should probably Harvest.
But considering there is probably an achievement for rescuing them, unless you got that last time, I’d play another time through when you aren’t going for that to get that achievement.

Already did get the trophy for savin' them all, and sparing all fuckers. (Not spoiling) So...Yeah. But I still wonder, maybe saving would implicate on more adam, if you consider equiping the Proud Parent gene tonic as soon as you get it...

if it’s like the first one, harvesting gets you more adam overall, but saving em gets you goodies.

i would say protect them at the start, let them harvest the bodies and gain your trust, then once they think of u as an awesome dad, u RAPE THEM!!!!

I spared all the badies and rescued all the sisters and still couldn’t afford all the plamids... and 20 plus ADAM for each gather still doesn’t make up for the 260 ADAM you missed out on... and it’s the 4th lil' sister... and the gift from Elanor is bigger when you harvast... and if you preordered at game stop and bought the map pac you get 5 new tonic slots and the “Only Child tonic” as well as the “Master Eve expert” ,the first gives you 80 ADAM from Big Sisters which gives you enough to buy all plasmids.


Don’t rescue if you turn off the vita-chambers... and kill every Big Daddy you see to keep cash in the green...

I got all the trophies in one simple run.
That means I went on Hard with no vitachambers saving every lil' sister ON YM FIRST PLAYTHROUGH.
I"m doing it again for fun, ya know.

a Rescuer can gain up to 3180 ADAM (assuming the player follows the full adoption routine for each Sister and collects every Sea Slug)

a Harvester will earn a total of 3320 ADAM

Just finished the first game. Me, being a rather benevolent guy, rescued all the Little Sisters. Not as if it had anything to do with the 100GS achievment though, laws no.

But anyway, I’ve got Bioshock 2 coming in the mail. I’m thinking of rescuing the LSs due to the fact that the other two ending of Bioshock sucked dick compared to the “Good Ending”.
