Now I remember a thread like this coming up before my second coming saying the sixaxis was being replaced with rummble. that...that might actually be a smart move for sony. they remove themselfs from a competition they can’t win with their current controller, and bring back something a lot of fans miss. seems like sony’s finally starting to make smart moves again. __________________

My views:
- Games released to date won’t have rumble because they weren’t made to have it.
- Sixaxis works so that if the remote shakes, it may be difficult for the game to work (reason why this gen of PS3 doesn’t have rumble)
- If Sony removed rumble from the PS3 because it can interfere with games using SIXAXIS, this means when rumble games come they will get affected with the rumble feature.
- If they release an entirely new controller, with RUMBLE and NO SIXAXIS this means we will see two types of games, ones with rumble and onces with SIXAXIS, which would be stupid as hell.
My bet:
SONY’s controller is to have SIXAXIS and RUMBLE in one. __________________

Replacing it would be a stupid move because many of their games have it used in some way and games such as Warhawk would be a waste.
It’s just being added in no way does it affect the six-axis like Sony claimed. __________________

Cost him few hundred bucks for nothing because he also had to modify adding rumble in the game.
And no unless the game itself has rumble you cna’t update it online, because the PS3 itself sin’t the one modifying the game. Like starfox 64 was te first to have rumble, because it came with the rumble revice. __________________

Acualy the Sixaxis is the best control so far. The nintendo wii has been done before its basicly a tv controler and duck hunter mixed. But somthing like the SIXAXIS has never been done before that type of motion scensoring is original Joined: 22 Nov 2005 Posts: 14,700 OFFLINE the21gamerKing of the Gamer Army Rep: 38 Has it occurred to you that that guy was an amateur?
If it did affect rumble then why is Sony adding rumble now? because it doesn’t.
Yes they can add a rumble update. The PS3 already has an update to support rumble. All they need to do is send out an update for each individual game allowing it in their coding. Companies have been doing things like this on the 360 and PS3 a lot because it’s easy to do with those consoles. __________________

no, those would both amount to the same thing. one of them points, while the other points...the wii remote has full motion sensitivity, pointing, is in a convenient shape for what it does (in comparison to a controller), and has two separate parts that both move independently that both sense movement.
but, this isn’t about the wii. don’t get offtopic... __________________

Second, an amateur? the control shakes if you crash or hit something, just like any other game, how is that being an amateur?
About them adding it now, its what said, they’ll probably develop a new control, three generations and the controler is the same so wdf.
And the 360’s controller is the best out of the bunch anyways.
I should know abou the PS3, I have one, just so you know.
I gotta go. __________________

You dont have to aim at the screen with sixaxis and is based off of movement while the wii is based off of point and click Joined: 10 Sep 2005 Posts: 16,859 OFFLINE kev360SAMOŠ Rep: 38 Read this if your stupid 22 wrote:

its not all pointing. a lot of things with the wii don’t even use pointing. thats just an extra option. trust me, i would know... __________________

Worst? It’s fine to me, despite the weight loss.
360’s? The best? It’s pretty much the same thing as the xbox controller except finally up to date. __________________

The Wii controller uses the same exact accelerometer and motion sensing technology the Sixaxis does, both can merely be moved to control what’s on screen in on all axes in all directions. The Nunchuck also has this.
The Wii controller also has the IR sensor, so it can be used as a pointer and aimer.
Now, about the rumble, I haven’t heard anything on this, but it would be easily possible. I mean, common, the Wii controller has rumble in it and it works without fail, so why would the Sixaxis have a problem? __________________
