Well all financial reports for October 2007-December 2007 are in. And here’s the results:
Wii- 20.13m
360- 17.70m
PS3- 10.49m
Here’s how much each had shipped in that quarter:
Wii- 6.96m
PS3- 4.90m
360- 4.30m
Alright let’s face it we all new Wii would win and by a good distance. But look who came in second. PS3 did. As I’ve said before it’s over for MS, and this kinda just puts it more up and front.
Was not a bad holiday season for PS3, but it’s important to note that the PS3 sold to ship ratio is probably the lowest, meaning that Sony probably overshipped it with some kind of tactic in hopes in bettering their position to meet their goal of 11 million shipped in FY08, which is almost an impossibility right now. But yea there ya go. Wii’s a winner. PS3 shows a brighter 2nd, and 360 in a dismal 3rd, as we go into 08.
for a consoles 3rd year out VS a console that this was it’s first year being released world wide for a holiday season, PS3 didn’t beat out 360 nearly as good as it should of.

Um PS3 didn’t even release in Europe/Other til March 2007 haha. I don’t think you can pull that one haha.

exactly...
I said it would of been pathetic for PS3 to not outsell 360 this holiday season.

Um no that’s what I was not getting at. PS3 wasn’t even out the full length in all areas as of that of the 360.
What this number means is that 360’s good sales in America is not enough to stop the competition. Meaning 360’s achilles heel is it’s inability to provide outside of America.

I know, I was talking about the holiday season of 07, at that time PS3 was released (to my knowledge) in all/most regions that it planned to release in.

True, a shame really, so many devs have and still are putting tonnes of work into games for this console, and it’s doomed for 3rd.
which is why sales dont tell me which console i like the most. The games/features/online do . If i liked a console for sales Wii would be my favorite, followed by PS3, followed by 360. Instead it’s the other way around...360, PS3, then Wii.

You know it isn’t til right now that I understand fully what you meant haha. I mean I brought up the PS3 launch, but that has to deal with the entire year and this just deals with Q4 2007. Haha my bad. I went off on a tangent and didn’t even notice it til now.
