I never said it wasn’t on the main storyline. I said Code Veronica and RE4 work more as a spinoff although they come back to the original story well in some form or way. RE5 is definitely in the main line. Would have been that way even if the story wasn’t that because of who the main character was.
I just personally don’t like it (and any real RE fan) becuase of what they did to the characters of Chris and Wesker, how they ruined the conspiracy with a weak cliche, and how they turned it from a creepy adventure/puzzler into a slow action game.
Oh, and I didn’t like the new Chris as well. I mean, WTF? Is he onto bovine steroids or something? He’s a fucking ape in the game!
I would call it the Gears of War effect
I call it the 360 effect. Turning almost every genre into an action game.

Xbox and PS3 are already proofing themselves against Onlive with their new motion tracking gear. If it wasn’t for that though, people would have little incentive to by either console since they would be the exact same thing as Onlive.
Also forza 3 has 1 Million Polygons in each car (3x forza 2 polygon count) while gt5 has 200,000 (source: http://us.playstation.com/granturismo/products_carlist_pro.asp)
(all forza shots)
Forza might have more detail but I think the shadowing and reflection in GT5 makes the cars have a bit of an edge, seems a bit more more photo realistic.

If Turn 10 uses 5 times as many polys as Polyphony Digital and their images still can’t outdo the champs then it’s time to quit trying to outdo the graphics king and think more on customization which is where Forza wins in the first place. So much more dev time is spent on GT so it’s no wonder that PD comes with the better graphics.
No way Forza 3 has 1 Million Polygons per car and Forza 2 had much less than GT5P and not more. If anything Forza 3 matched GT5P, but judging by the pics and how Turn 10 acts I doubt it.
Then the graphics is much better in GT5P, notice the much superior lightning and shadows and much more realistic look:
At first I thought you just posted a bunch of camera shots of cars, and you were kidding about the “And these here are true ingame shots”. I completely fell for it. Those graphics are fucking awesome.
For me, Forza 3’s graphics are more realistic...in a human’s point of view. GT5P’s graphics were the only ones that gave me thought that these are in-game graphics, but when I looked at Forza 3’s they look like the real thing. Seriously. Until now, I can’t believe the Forza 3 pics are in-game graphics. Yeah, GT5P has superior lighting and shadows, but there’s something in GT5P that doesn’t make it as realistic as Forza 3’s.

dude the images are tiny, we can’t make a comparison.
Just going by the devs word on polycount, polycount=/= final turnout in visuals, and yes, it does looks more realistic, but not by much, I already stated that.
Yeah, Hallowed Be Thy Name is right. I recognized GT5P pics as in-game graphics faster than the Forza 3 ones (actually, like I said, until now, I can’t believe they’re in-game graphics), maybe because of the small size of the pics or rather the small resolution. Maybe larger pictures would change my mind about GT5P’s graphics being less realistic than Forza 3’s.

They will, it does look more realistic depending on the shots he gets, but forza 3 still looks damn close and amazing.
Hopefully for forza 4, if it’s on 360, they bump it down to 30 fps and surpass Forza 3 and GT5.

You obviously didn’t watch the vids if you think there isn’t a big difference in realism, ingame Forza looks cartooney when compared to GT.
There is no word on polycount from Turn 10 and your screens are not even really ingame. I have put these screens because they are 100% ingame and not made professionally, but if you want to compare I can show you some of these:

That’s not because of the size of the pics, it looks like that on my 40” 1080p HDTV.
That Forza or GT? Also the forza shots are just from photomode taken by a dev.

But dude the images are compressed, meaning imperfections are hidden,

When there are some serious imperfections, but when it looks good it hardly makes it much better when smaller. But side by side I would of course notice some differences here and there.
