I’d say it’s plausable, as it would stop piracy to some extent. And ther is little to no difference in pricing for pressing DVD vs Blu-ray media. Mere pennys, when pressing large amounts.

I would say it is very plausible as well. Nintendo has been one of the forefronts for quite sometime in combating piracy so it only seems logical. Nintendo has also pressed interest in HD for their next console so it would seem to go hand in hand. I’d also expect MS to have some form of blu-ray incorporated as well. In other words, blu-ray will probably be the optical drive of choice in the 8th generation.

I mean I’m not crazy about PS3 but I’m still open to it seeing as one of my future roommates will probably get one. I wonder how many times PS3 Fan has played Wii before deciding there weren’t any good games on it.

I’ve played Wii enuff times to come to the conclusion it’s crap, games are crap. Only a hand full good games been the expection. Not enuff good games to warrant spending £170 quid on one.

I’d rather spend £170 on upgrading my PC hardware or some good new PS3 games(which ther are plenty coming out).

We all know you hated the Wii before it came out. You decided how fun it was long before you played it. When Wii was announced you immediately shoved it aside. You decided it’s games sucked before you played them, before they were even released.

So why are you pretending it’s because of the games that you don’t like Wii by saying, “I’ve played it enough times”?

And if you can remember back to my early posts on this forum, I was planning on getting a Wii. I changed my mind at the last minute. 2nd best decision I have made in a long time, 1st been spending £450 on a launch 60Gb PS3(now 320Gb) with BC.

Wii sold for the wrong reasons, basically it was cheap. And not for the reason it was any good.

Nintendo has been one of the forefronts, no. With Wii they arn’t, as they built in protection to combat piracy has failed, it was hopeless. It has too many bugs and back doors, a hackers dream.

I agree Blu-ray will be the media choice of the 8th gen. And a good choice really as it will be faster, bigger & cheaper(thx to Sony using it in PS3 this gen)

PS3 modest weekly 5K lead over Wii will be 100k easly.

Yeah, the gore is very good. I blew a zombies intestines out as he fell off a railing and his guts became caught on the rails. Needless to say, he was hanging bungee style by his small intestines. It was beautiful.

By the way, the Demo is out for everyone on both PC and 360, so go download it, Moo.

Best going for cheapest Slim out there, a 120Gb version, then with the cash saved upgrade it to a 320Gb or 500Gb hard drive. Simple

Not sure, hav’nt counted them in a while. Bought 'Uncharted 2, Dirt 2, NFS: Shift, FIFA 10, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 & Tekken 6 recently.

Just looked, I’d say around 80 retail games and around 40 PSN games.

Bayonetta and Tekken 6 actually gave it quite a big bounce... bigger than I expected. Wii is up week over week as well so both are probably starting to show some natural pre-holiday increases.

BTW relating sales news and putting biased opinions in the sales relation (aka crapbox) will not be tolerated. There is leniency in this thread but for not such a thing as that. Numbers are not biased and can’t be by definition so you shall present them in that way and separate your own opinions from that.

Well I knew Tekken 6 would shift consoles seen as it’s been the highest performing arcade machine in Japan this year. So I knew that would translate well into the sales of the home console version.

Wii might be up week on week, but so is the gap between PS3 & Wii. It’s now double last week.

Zucas when does Final Fantasy XIII come out in Japan?
