Supreme Commander Help

Yeah I just started the game and give me a break since I am new to full RTS games but the controls seem strange. I did the tutorial but it did not help as much as I wanted and I am having trouble trying to get certain units to do what I want, I mean when I try to use the ACP and have it capture somthing it blows it up! I cannot get every unit in an area by the R button and I even looked at the controls and tried doing formations, anyone care to give me a detailed list of how the controls work? I have movement, orders, and structure commands down but I am just having trouble getting the units to follow those commands I mean I select all enginners in wait mode with the world commands and it only selects 1 when many more are stationary.

I only played SC a bit at my friend’s house and it was on his PC, so i’m not so sure how to help u out with the console controls. Most RTS games on consoles are worse then their PC version. There are a few games that have decent RTS controls like C&C3 and LOTR BFME2 (one of the reasons i told u to get them instead of SC), but from what i’ve heard the controls for SC sucked for consoles. Told ya u would’ve been better off with C&C3 or LOTR BFME2 .
