You do know in morrowind that you are Lord Nerevar if you follow the main story i mean i did most of the quest in morrowind.

I really really don’t want to be a preset character.
Character customisation was good, i want it to be even better.
It would be good too to get more clothes and armour, especially unique stuff.
Also, i want a wifey :]

NEREVAR117 wrote: It’s believed to be set in SkyRim, North of Oblivion and West of Morrowind. You either play as Lord Nerevar or a new character.

If you play as Nerevar, you go to SkyRim to resolve rebellion and to stop a civil war.

If you play as a new character, you can be a general of the rebellion or follow the Legion.

It will be using a new engine built from the ground up, for long draw distance, 60FPS, and allowing tons of enemies on screen at once. As the final battle, if you choose to lead your army to war, will have hundreds of people in a fight.

You do know that he made this up right? It was obvious as soon as I read 'Lord Nerevar'. Seriously...

But yes, ESV does need to right some wrongs, or rather correct some mistakes. Character Customisation is one and weapons and skills are ones to improve greatly on as well.

I think it would be the coolest if instead of a single races homeland, it was all of Tamriel. It would also be sick if it was online. actually, not online, you could just invite like up to like 3 other people and you could quest together. And if you made certain choices, like there was 2 or 3 directions a quest could go and it would alter the future of the game so there was like more variety and it was never ever the exact same. Also, it would be absolutely awsome if they introduced building things and crafting your own weapons and armor so you could have a unique set of armor. I could go on for days saying what would make it totally awesome, but i have to go. sad

Create an account then.

But I agree, that should be included.
So lets take a look carefuly and evaluate what aspects need improving:

Character desing, top priority - full body design as well and clothing design too. And please, for the love of god, use different voice actors and use as many different voices and designs as physically possible. Make a fat elf, or a thin orc. Whatever.

Character interaction - How we interract with characters. Not that once you speek to them everything around you freezes in time. Also, characters need to make meaningful conversation too and with more emotion, not just standing there with their arms crossed.

Battle - The way in which you engage in a fight. So if you complete lunge at an enemy with a battle hammer then they will obviously fall to their knees, and they will fall according to where you hit them. So if you hit their arm the should stagger and spin. If you hit them in the chest they should fall back immediately or towards the ground. If this happens to you then, say you are knocked to the ground, you can counter with a sword or sheild and get back up before the enemy has a chance to hit you again.

Sneaking and Stealth kills - If you slit an enemy’s throat, they WILL die. If you stab them through the back, they SHOULD die immediately, but will die anyway. We need the ability to back up onto walls, crawl and roll.

Archering - A headshot means physical brain penetration. Physical brain penetration means instant death. This need to be included as well as the effect of archering increased. IF an enemy is shot then they should fall back, take cover and attempt to remove the areow and vise versa.

Hand to Hand - Really, proper fighting. We need kicks, grapples and counter attacks. Think Jericho, when an enemy attacks you head on you can use button commands and analog co-ordinations to counter-attack or attempt to disarm an enemy. Mechanics like that.

Oh man an Elder Scrolls set in Skyrim would be AWESOME. Nords are by far my favorite race, and I think the landscape would be incredible, kind of like a Canadian/Alaskan type environment. Hope to GOD it’s not level scaled.

Based on what NEREVAR117 wrote the game sounds terrible. Sounds more like an action hack n slash than a beautiful atmospheric RPG like Morrowind. I miss morrowind. Oblivion was a dead world, Morrowind is far more alive.

I think that the new one should be a bit like oblivion only with more choices and able to be evil or good, like in Fable II,but itd be cooler if u could sever people and there was more drama, like ur best friend gets fatally wounded er sumthin thatd be coolio

when i played morrowind it took me ages to finish cause i had to follow directions but in oblivion it was way to easy i finished it in like 2 weeks and got so bored.

but i wouldn’t mind them making the new elder of scrolls with a choice of either neverine or as a general or even a soldier and earn your way up in rank or be a merc and fight for both sides which would be interesting.

The new elder of scrolls better be funner then oblivion and a less complicated beginging

Hmm... don’t have an account here but we’ll see if this works. Anyway, I’m an elder scrolls junkie who has logged hundreds upon hundreds of hours into 3 and 4.

The somewhat “cliffhanger” ending in Oblivion sets up for what could be a very cool and very big game. Think about it - the Septim line is (presumably) dead. Who takes the throne? I’m thinking a continental civil war - all the provinces. Maybe choose what group or province to fight for. Who knows? It may have to wait for the next gen console (for those of us who use one), but it would definitely be an incredible game. But alas...that’s all just speculation.
