wat i always kinda hated about oblivion (idk if they did this in morrowind or any of the other games i never really played them) is that monsters get stronger as you get stronger i just think thats really stupid, wats the point of gainin lvls if you can pretty much kill every thing now. also when you gain lvls u can find better stuff in a cave i thought that was stupid too. because of this the game was never that hard, the only part i thought was actually hard was during that one battle outside the great gate u have to make sure martin didnt die...that was hard...but thats it

I like oblivion better than morrowind cause oblivion is more realistic. But in morrowind, you can levitate which is helpful, plus morrowind had more guilds. On the down side, morrowind’s graphics sucked in comparison to oblivions. Like Pjam I Am stated earlier, Elder Scrolls 5 would be cool if it was like Fable 2.

The only way to do go in oblivion is if you have a combat or magic/combat character. I’m a level 35 redguard and nothing can kill me.

Screw graphics. I want immersive gameplay. If the Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall can do it for me, than it really doesn’t take much eye-candy to create a REAL RPG.

Oblivion was an okay game, but they killed the beauty of Morrowind. Here are a couple reasons:

1. Why can I only talk about rumors to people? In Morrowind there was a massive list of things I could talk about, and even more so in Daggerfall.

Not to mention the voice acting makes in 20x harder for storyline modders. In Morrowind, there is a mod called LGNPC that gives nearly every single NPC in Morrowind a unique personality. <- That made Morrowind my second favorite game of all time... next to Daggerfall.

2. The leveling system sucked. No more point in being a thief anymore because the best thing you will stumble upon are a couple spoons and a wooden cup.

In Morrowind, I loved how you were on a treasure hunt for Daedric. Every single piece of that armour was an amazing find - and it was a challenge for me to collect the whole suit - but in Oblivion, as soon as you hit level 30, every marauder scum who is worth his own weight has a full suit of daedric armour.

3. THE FAST TRAVEL SYSTEM MADE THE GAME FEEL SMALL! In Morrowind, the classic transportation system of like stated above, a “taxi” service worked out amazingly. You could be transported by boat, teleportation, or stilt strider, but only to major cities. You’d have to walk to other locations, which added immersion to the game.

Anyone else noticed there was no point in having a horse in Oblivion because, well, one, you can’t fight on horseback, and two, why not just fast travel everywhere instead?

I hope, but doubt the Elder Scrolls five will return to the ways of Morrowind, or better yet, Daggerfall.

Hnestly i think TES is a great game and all it has cool graphics and the lot but....

It’s just soooo boring. Its to much like go here do that, go there kill that, collect that, and bring it back here. Plus it has no humour it should add some good British humour. I know what your gonna say that sound too much like Fable: The Lost Chapters and i say to that’EXACTLY' Fable:TLC was a great game good storyline (average graphics tho) and good humour. If TES did something like that like u earn xp and spend it in areas that would be cool. Be good if they added some humour too. Plus they got good graphics and all that so if they do that it would be the most awesome game ever(in my opinion).

I have been waiting for this game to be put out into forums to talk about it.
Nords are my favorite characters. To be able to control an entire army would be awesome. I know Bethesda shot down the Horse-back combat, but I think it would be cool if you had to buy horses if they had died in combat, you know, to make it more realistic. And it would be awesome to have a partially destructable environment, like chopping trees you swing at with a axe or sword, cutting plants and breaking stuff with weapons. I didn’t like how Bethesda made the jumping action. I think it would look better if the jumps were more natural and you recoil when you land from a jump from a high building.
Also if there are plug-ins, I am hoping they don’t delay on making them for PS# when The Elder Scrolls V comes out, not to mention for Oblivion...

And to add onto that last message, I think the environment should be more realistic. The graphics were awesome and beautiful in Cyrodiil, but imagine active environments.
Like snow falling while in snowy areas (Skyrim), or make leaves change color and fall in autumn months, A footprint in the snow (I have noticed that when you walk through snow in Cyrodiil, you have no footprints.), have unpredictable effects (like random creaking floorboards in sneak mode), and even damaged looking armor when it is beat up and damaged. Scars and temporary cuts.

P.S. #when I typed # I meant PS3.

Sinking in water when you have really heavy armor, more realistic blocking (not just keeping your weapon in the same place and being able to block every hit, including arrows), And if I may add, hybrid races with random mixes of skills and weaknesses would be amazing!
More natural assassinations, like a knife in the throat of you have a short blade, breaking their neck if you are unarmed, choking, etc.
I would say keep the arena, it was super fun being able to do a gladiator type thing in Oblivion. I really wish Kvatch could be rebuilt on Oblivion...
Maybe hired mercenaries for you, or npc’s that don’t like you can hire them to kill you. If they try to kill you in your sleep, you wake up and have to button mash to get out and eventually kill the assassin.

If for some amazing reason #5 will be spread all throughout Tamriel, I think you should choose a nation and be able to fight for it, betray it if you want, and even ascend as it’s leader. Especially if All of the provinces got caught up in a war with the rest of Tamriel.
