I just love the sheer randomness and mechanics of the game engine and the habits of other players.
Here is what brings me enjoyment in that game,
1. Dual beatdown- ever since that update to make the beatdowns fair, whenever I head for someone and they do the same to me, it is fun to see us both get beaten down and sent flying in opposite directions with the same force. Not good but not bad either, it makes things fair in that you both get a point.
2. People complaining about kill stealing- seriously whoever complained about that back in counter strike should have just shut up then, every kill is fair, in FFA whoever gets it gets it. In team games, why does it matter? Every point for the team earns you a step to victory to increasing skill in ranked, hell in games where I got only 6 kills at times but 2 deaths but loads of assits, I feel fine because even though I may not have gotten to do much, I still helped by not dying and I helping bring down those other guys.
3. The wraith of the physics engine- I just like seeing how one force leads to another at times in this game. I have stuck a hog on standoff on the wheels and while it has not killed it, the force fliped them over and kept them going over the cliff and earned me a double kill. Other times I have been stuck and flipped right onto the guy who did it to us.
4. People who think the power weapons are the only way to win- I get amused to see this, retards and utter noobs think that taking the power weapons are the only way to win, grant instant victory, and that every conventional weapon is worthless. I have seen some pretty big retards thinking, shotgun and mauler, shotgun and sword, sniper and sword, sniper and hammer, rockets and spartan laser, sniper and shotgun, etc was actually a good idea. I have seen that fail so much for retarded teammates and retarded oppoenents. I was able to beat countless people who have used the sniper and shotgun combo so much with just a AR or BR attacking them, they would not be able to snipe me or nail me with a shotgun blast. Those people thinking that 2 power weapons is a good idea are retarded, they would really just grant your oppoenents an oppurtunity to gain 2 for 1 death and you deprive your teammates of more weapons that could be used at once. Hell on snowbound some people have tried desperately to keep up with the beam rifle and shotgun only to get killed easily. It is a true fact that those who seek power are ultimatly finished by it. It has happened a lot in Halo 3.
5. People who overrely or think the sniper is a better version of the BR and carbine in everyway- Yeah halo 3 has no “best weapon” the sniper is powerful but not reliable in every situation like the BR or carbine. The BR and carbine can fit any situation, the AR is good at most ranges yet it does not exceed or faulter with other weapons, it fits the bill just right in any situation and can work wonders with any weapon. I have seen people being stupid with the sniper only using it to try and get no-scopes which is a really bad way to depend on it. I use no-scopes from time to time but mainly as a last resort, around corners to nail them, or in areas where you can easily nail them such as a hallway like the bottom floor of guardan or the overshield tunnel on the pit. Those videos of the top 10 whatever, I don’t by them for 2 reasons, they have guests in them so you can bet they are staged and most of the time and they just use aimbots because no person has the coordiation to just headshot someone flying at high speeds paired with a high senistivty far across the map. I just love seeing these people faulter.
