For the most part I agree with what Microsoft needs to do is stick with appeasing the hardcore, that’s Microsoft’s market and it’s working for them. Just look at all the 360 software sells slaughter the competition and microsoft is doing very well from that. Nintendo took all those casual 100 million PS2 owners from last gen but they only buy 2 or 3 games a year. That’s Nintendo’s market, nobody can compete with Ninty when it comes to the casual mainstream. Sony is directly competing with Microsoft for the Hardcore but have not managed to grasp the market from MS. Microsoft did very well with the hardcore market but can they keep it in terms of new apps and killer AAA games which is where I see Sony trying to get to?
