Seems like the Wii version of Guitar Hero: World Tour is getting ALL the features of the 360/PS3 versions. Online, DLC, song creation.
YAY! Makes me wish Harmonix went bankrupt for their bullshit.
Naturally, the graphics won’t be as good, but I never pay attention since I’m too busy whupping fret ass.
Fuck, forgot the link:

Yep. But for all version, I’m dissappointed in song creation you can record your voice in it. Guess I’ll just have to write it down. I want to write some songs.
But I’m so happy its not gimped like Rock Band on Wii.

This makes me wonder if nintendo is gonna update the firmware again to allow games to use the SD slot as an HDD storage device?

It’s possible but I have no idea. It’s just so much easier to allow HDD’s ya know. But Nintendo is stubborn like that.

Fuck yea this game is going to rock. Create a rocker Zucas, create my own songs, use all instruments, start a band, be lead singer, and rock the world. I could care less about DLC unless got a good song I want to play. But online band and rock the world. What I want.
And yea Sublime- Santeria. Great song.

And this is what I like hearing about devs. Activision just owned some people
IGN: Wii owners are a finicky bunch. In your opinion, why should they be truly excited about World Tour on Wii?
Karthik: I don’t know if they are finicky. I think they just want more good games outside of Nintendo first party. All I can tell you is that there’s a really hard working team that’s dedicated to building the standard setting music game on the Wii platform. We’re a bunch of Nintendo fanboys who want to push what can be done on the Wii and debunk some of the myths about what the system can and can’t do. It’s been a real tough project so far because we’re taking the hard road…so hopefully in the end folks will really enjoy what we’ve done.
Thank you Activision. Exactly right. Thanks for not gimping it and giving Wii gamers the full experience and not some half ass port, cough cough Rock Band.

I think this will be a revolutionary title for the console. You know, a third-party game that’s actually good!

One that’s not gimped is all we’ve been asking haha. I mean we know the graphics won’t be the same but it’s about damn time we get all the features.

Was the Wii version of GH3 gimped compared to the PS3/360 versions
I didn’t think any version of GH3 was gimped.

Yes it was. No DLC, not as full online, MONO sound output, and I think that was it.
GH:WT on Wii has DLC, full online, and stereo sound. It’s the exact same in every aspect except the graphics won’t be as good of course.
Surprisingly though in America according to NPD GHIII on Wii, aside from PS2 version, was the best selling version. Who knows how much GHWT will sell.

Oh really? I wasn’t aware of those issues.
Oh well GH:WT sounds awesome. One thing i’ve nvr liked about GH was not being able to make ur own songs. Looks like we can now

Now no one has to go through a long process to make custom songs.

If I get the game I’ll make a custom one of an alternate recording of Spanish Castle Magic by Jimi Hendrix. It’s longer than the one on the Axis: Bold as Love album. The guitar solo just kicks so much ass.

Man I’m going to recreate all the songs I love. First song on the list? Fat Lip by Sum 41.
