“Guitar Hero World Tour is a fun title, to be sure, but it’s also a disappointment in a lot of respects. A number of things it tries to accomplish were already done better in Rock Band, which you might figure would have provided a simple blueprint to be followed and expanded up, but that’s not the case. The music creation tools are a great idea in theory, but the end result isn’t as robust as I would have hoped it would be, both in terms of abilities as well as the songs that come out the other end.
The game does have a good bit going for it and can serve to act as a stepping-off point for next year’s game, whatever form that might take. Unfortunately, I thought the same of Guitar Hero III, and here we are.“

Rock Band 1 is the game getting all the DLC. Rock Band 2 can play all of them. That means you can get all the DLC on Rock Band 2 on number 1, but if you want the 80+ other songs you need to get Rock Band 2.
I expected it to have more to it, but oh well. I never cared much about the whole single player 'campaign' of these music games. I just want to play the shit.

Sucked for a guitar hero game, it did.
I was playing the game at Best Buy today and the RB2 guitar was SOOO much better than the GH: WT guitar. The GH guitar buttons got stuck and the struming felt awful. It was also to light. The RB2 one had better buttons and strumming, but the whammy bar still sucks. It was heavy and better too.

Both are gimmicks and wastes of money as well, despite being fun :/ RB2 was basically a rock band one song pack.
And reviews don’t lock in how everyone feels... especially one review, Rb2 will probably score better but it doesn’t mean everyone will like it more or if either is better..a large portion of the review went into soundtrack, theirs a possibility they just preferred rock bands over Gh’s and based it off that, both have more or less the same gameplay anyways.

Seriously, how the fuck did Michael Jackson wiggle his way into guitar hero?
Who cares what IGN thinks. WT rocks because the instruments are a hell of a lot better and more responsive and considering that’s the entire game then RB fails. I’m just glad I can use the GHIII controller on Wii for RB2 so I don’t have to buy those shitty instruments. WT is an awesome game with awesome music with awesome features. RB2 is the same but with worse instruments and no song creator meaning it’s not as good. End of discussion.
