what is your RE:4 village strategy?

What tactics do you use when you go into the village on RE:4?

Do you run in, and gun them down?

You you sneak by, and gain an advantage point? Or perhaps sneak up on them and toss a grenade?

Or maybe you hold yourself up inside one of the buildings, blockading the windows and doors and hiding in a corner.

Or are you tactical? Holding up a defensive area, taking the chainsaw guy out first, then use tactics to take them out one by one.

Me? I hold myself up inside this small house, after the chainsaw guy is dead i will run out and hold up inside the bigger 2 story house, and hold the fort down until it all ends.

What do you do?

personally I never really try to run and gun in the RE4 game. For one ya can’t do it haha. But seriously I like to conserve ammo. Unless you know you’ve beaten the game a few times and got the beastly weapons then sure do whatever the hell ya won’t. But for any other time I always go to the left side and eliminate all then take refuge in the house right there and fight off the rest.

But you do know going into that small house is optional. You don’t have to do it.

Yes i know... it’s the house right across from the 2 story house, i push the dresser in front of the door, hold a flash grenade, then wait for them to bust in.

Anyways, that goes on and sooner or later i’m standing in a pile of dead bodies...

But yea that’s normally what I do as well cause you get more stuff doing that.

The chainsaw guy is scary though

all i do is shoot like crazy.

I just stand with my back against whatever and shoot the hell out of em.

It’s called stand n' gun.

One thing I normally do is balence between melee and ranged fighting. I use the handgun to shoot foes in the legs and when they are on the ground I go up and slash them. Large groups of bad guys? I use the shotgun, I lure them into one big group and take them out there. Indivual strong bad guys? I use the TMP the rapid fire is good for one bad guy not a whole horde because that would be wasting ammo. If you read the book the zombie survial guide (great book) It really makes sense on what you can do in games like RE4 and Dead Rising.

It depends who I use, and I usually only use 2 characters. If I’m hunk, I’ll shoot one bullet into the face of a zombie, and break his neck. This works even on the chainsaw ladies. I’ll continue this strategy until the time runs out. I’ll definately nail 5 stars, since the neckbreaker kills will make a massive combo.

If I’m Wekser, I’ll try to get the zombies into one massive group, then use his “power fist” move. After that general strategy applies, gernades in groups, magnum against chainsaw ladies, and pistoling smaller groups.
