Which do you think was/is the best generation in video gaming?

My favorite overall was the PS1, N64 era, followed closely by the NES era.

I liked the PS2, Gamecube, Xbox one, everything was inexpensive and all the games were really good and not all about graphics.

The Snes was the machine that had the biggest leap as far as I’m concerned.

Nothing beats the amazement the first time I booted it up and saw the Super Mario Allstars and Super Mario world for the very first time.

It was such a massive leap over the master system and the nes..it was astounding.

Its still the retro sstem I play the most, way over the 64, psone or cube.

I picked the Golden Age as it was nicknamed. Or for the record, the SNES/Genesis generation.

I’ve gotta say, I’m partial to the 5th generation (as it is called, since this one is the 7th).

My favorite games of all time are on the N64 and PS. Oh, those were the days.

First game I played on N64 was Mario Kart. First on my own PS was Final Fantasy 8, followed shortly by Crash Bandicoot: WARPED! since I had both when I got it.

*reminisce*

I felt that way when Dreamcast came out. I thought that was the biggest leap. We went from 32 bit to 128.

I remember going to gamestop the night they were debuting Dreamcast Sonic playable. I was so amazed at how it looked. I think and stood there and watch the kids play for about hour and 15 minutes straight.

Since most of my best childhood memories are with the N64 I would choose that.
