I never knew why people can be so frightened and scared from video games such as Silent Hill, Dead Space and Doom 3.
I have only been scared of one game in my entire life, and that was Martian Gothic, and I was about 7 or something.
It’s like how people are disgusted at the Saw movies. Apparently, people viewing Saw III at the cinema 'fainted' from the scene in which somebody had his limbs twisted in a machine until his bones snapped out of them.
I watched that scene. Being an avid gore lover it was pretty disappointing.
So why is it that people are so s**i scared of these kinds of things? Is it just me?
The setting, the eerie-ness of the atmosphere can give people nightmares or dig up past events they don’t wanna remember which makes it scary for them.
I don’t play RE1 cause it’s too scary, silent hill 3 made me keep my lights on, cause it was too much for me, dead space with the chanting voices in background had me alt f4 alot.

lol Saw 3 was weak and retarded.
the ending was bad ass
The movies are alright, but they aren’t necessary anymore.

But why? Do you have a low tolerance for horror?
Sorry, what do you mean alt f4?
I think it’s the feeling of it “Could happen any moment” kind of thing, people are afraid of the dark cause they don’t know what will come out, so they put that in horror, with special editing, they put it in games with pure absolute darkness, and a big giant bitmap polygon monster comes out and kills you.
Rob Zombie, West craven, Stephen King knows where to hit the psyche of human mind where we can relate to that fear and be terrified. Although the movies these days seems to garner more on gore and body horror now.
Alt F4 you can close a app immediately.
Never seen the SAW series, thought it was some corny puppet telling people to cut off there body parts then perceed to the next area.

I understand all of that and you are absolutely correct.
But what I’m saying is none of that has an effect on me at all. I play Dead Space in the complete darkness and laugh when I kill a monster so easily on the hardest difficulty setting. And trust me when I say I do not play an awful lot.
Ok, I remember the ending now. Suck to be that guy.
