Yes, Recon sucks now. And anyone trying to say it dosent is most likely trying to stand up for it because they feel “cool” because they finally have it.
But why is it so gay now?
Back in the day you had to really earn Recon. Either by defeating Bungie, or winning some type of contest. Now, it’s just like “Yea, get these achievements and you’ll have recon”
Gay. I watched Bausman, Plasmasoldier and two other guys do one of the challenges on ODST that you have to do in order to get recon, and let me say....It was dumb easy....How the hell is that worth Recon? And to top it off, last saturday I was playing the double EXP and just about every other damn kid in the lobby had it on....So what dose that tell you?
And now, since it’s ridiculously easy to get Recon, everyone’s saying “Ohh yea, well I had recon be4 ODST” Bullshit. You and like 30 other people that I’ve seen so far? Pffft. Recon’s done.

Yea, the helmet is pretty ugly. But be4 ODST, I admit, I wanted it because of the fact that not many people had. But now? Weak.
I don’t care about recon. It’s not like it does anything special. And it’s not exceptionally good looking. I prefer the Mark V Helmet. The only reason everyone wanted it is cause they couldn’t have it. Ingame you probably wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference between it, rouge, and scout lol. Heck the only really distinctive ingame are eod, haya, security, and eva. maybe cqb

I’m pretty sure it has always sucked. Actually it was a mandatory policy to teabag anyone that has ever had it in a game I played against them. That along with having MLG, KSI, BR, or unnecessary z’s,i’s,l’s, and numbers in the name. So yea I generally end up doing it every game haha.

Same here, i love the guys with gamer tags like “LeGiiT BR v2” or “iNSAN3 SNiiP3z"and then you end up beating them by 23 points lol.
Heh king, baus, you guys were there that night when we did prepare to drop, I decided to wear recon for one match just to see how other people would react and when they noticed it, they seemed to just stop and stare granting us kills.
But I am not going to use it, just wanted it for the sake of having it like it was another simple one to earn. I am rather going to stick with my kick-ass ODST helmet, CQB body armor, and EVA shoulder pads. Makes my guy look like a 2x badass being a spartan/ODST, besides I used the ODST armor ever since I unlocked it WAYYYYY back before ODST was even announced and used it before anyone else thought it would be cool to just wear it for the sake of the new game. But I don’t complain on what people wear in the game, anyways it is funny to see all those guys wearing full hyabusa armor, with katanas, using the steel color, and beating the hell out of them which bausman said, they think they are “l337, MLG, SNIPORZ” and beating them is fun.
well i guess u guys are right recon is gay now that it is easier to obtain. though that damn endure achievement was a pain in the ass. but that was the only hard one every thing else was easy. me personal i just like the helmet but the armor is getting played out quick.
bungie we need some new armor try some new elite perms please arbiter would be nice but thats just my opinion
