But I have a question for people here. Wii Balance board is a packed in accessory but think for a second. What else could this be used for by NIntendo or even 3rd parties. Could it be expanded beyond simple use in a Fitness game.
Well it recognizes shifts in weight determined by your struggle to blance one way or another. I’m just throwing it out there but what would you say to a Skateboarding or Snowboarding game using this as well as you see with some plug in games.
Possible? Hell I didn’t think it up haha. Miyamota thought a snowboarding game could work on it. I’m creative most of the time but I must admit this time I got it from Miyamota. Skateboarding was original though ahha.

Yeah, who knows maybe the next SSX will be Wii Balance Board Compatable!
The world’s gone insane. This surely must be the 'end of days' when a regular bathroom scale add-on becomes a gaming hit/fad around the world.
Meanwhile, all the hard work and creativity put into technically brilliant games, with immersive stories, scripts, control mechanisms, animation, etc etc, is considered meh.
The whole Wii add-on thing is absurd. It’ll all (zapper, wheel, fit) be a hit now purely because Wii itself originally captured people’s imaginations over the wii-mote. In gaining their attention over the wii-mote, now suddenly it’s “cool” and “ingenious” to bring out all the failed past add-ons and ideas and IPs. It’s like for many decades the “mullet” was a faux pas. Then one day, out of nowhere, it became “cool” again, and suddenly all these guys are wearing mullets. And, like a fad, one day it suddenly wont be “cool” and everyone stops wearing mulletts.
Ie, digging deeper, it’s clearly Nintendo out of ideas, and just rehashing all their old failed NES add-ons, or repackaging a GC with a wii-mote, or constantly releasing the same tired titles again.....now that the Wii has become more popular. We’ll see nothing but a gazillion Mario themed games now, Nintendo looking to cast their hooks into all those bandwagon casual and new-gamers.
One doesn’t have to be a Sony or MS fanboy or even just anti-Nintendo to have this attitude. I’m just dismayed.

I have to say, I’ve been reading around a lot of people’s comments in blogs etc, and all these people saying how they wanna get fit, and that now they wont need a personal trainer, or can get rid of their gym membership, etc etc.
Just shows how insane people are. If you wanna get fit, go fucking jog outside, or use that fucking treadmill you already paid money for. Not to mention, that the Wii Board game is using BMI to ascertain people’s health etc, and that’s an outdated and wrong method. It does not take into account people’s bone structure, etc. It simply measures people’s weight based on their height, and that’s patently a wrong method.
This Wii-fit game is making people around the world who have no clue anyway think suddenly that they’ll get fit from using it. Expect to see a lot of lawsuits and injury claims, or at least a lot of disgruntled people if so many are gullible and unaware to think Wii Board is a true fitness thing.
It’s a gimmick in itself, as a fitness thing. You can do the same fucking exercises using a step or the fucking ground itself.
its mostly just to get people on the right track of getting fit. it will work with the ballence, and yoga like rutines. other then that, they said it was just to Watch your fitness level, to make sure you are keeping fit. some people can get stupid, but for the most part, nintendo releasing these new extentions to the wii was a great idea, ive heard of tons of people having trouble with the shooting and driving games. but now with all of these items, they can do a bit better.
GG- man I guess you don’t like Guitar Hero or think it’d be a better game with out the guitar. Going to call that a gimmick as well. Say why don’t people just go actually play a guitar. Please please say some more stupid shit.

Lolz. guitar hero is better then playing a real guitar. you can acctualy play like the pros.lolz.
And I’m sure playing Wiifit is a lot more fun for most people, and cheaper, than going to the gym and working out. Although I don’t encourage that it’s the apsolute truth. Making fitness and losing weight has been the hardest thing to do to make all these weight loss itmes worth it. Nintendo showed that Wii Sports could help you lose weight and be fun and Wiifit will continue to tap into that. It’s good marketing. Nintendo is being very smart.

The difference is that people dont think playing guitar hero is any proper way to learn to play a guitar or actually be considered to be playing guitar. It’s a simulator.
But, people all over are thinking the Wii-fit is a true fitness thing. Even Nintendo made such claims about the game. It’s like them saying that Brainage is a truer method of learning than school. Or any of their other spelling and vision 'improvment' games.
They’re gimmicky in the sense that they’re not actual improvers. They’re just like crossword puzzles. Doing them doesn’t make you smarter, just better at doing crosswords.

Same with Wii’s improvment games.
Oh so people’s perception is now a fault of Nintenod. What people think it can do is now all of a sudden the company’s fault.
Even further is this people you say a majority or are you simply once again assuming a majority. You see the only way you’ve had an arguement this entire time is you bullshiting with your opinion and assuming the majority agrees. Give up the bullshit already. I see right through ya.
You’re going off-tangent. I didnt say the majority agree with me at all. I said the majority is insane to think this is a true fitness thing (which many do) go read blog comments etc. And, Nintendo themselves did say Wii-fit is intended to be a fun way of keeping fit.
Your still assuming. You are assuming what they will say. STOP ASSUMING. Assumption is the big no no in debate. You are assuming what a majority will say. You don’t know that nor have any evidence to prove it.
