Wii Being Used for Therapy for wounded Soldiers

I’m making a thread out of this hoping to see people that might show respect, unlike PS3 Fan, SCT and Xbug who’ve been bashing Wii for this on the vs thread.

It was definetly despicable and uncalled for. This wasn’t a Nintendo thing but a gamer thing to see how one of the 7th generation consoles was helping injured soldiers. It was not the place to make Wii bashings. Just total disrespect for the soldiers and gaming in general.

BTW Zucas, who exactly is the article about? I mean which soldiers is Wii helping? US Army?

Everyone drones on about how PS3 is curing cancer, and leave out the fact the computers are part of the same system. And are more likely than not the major contributor by far.

thats false cause the wounded soilders wouldent be able to cause they got there arms blown off,broken, burned, cut off, shot into a million peices or they are healing and they have to be carful with there arms.


if anything i think the solders will be watching movies instead of playing old kiddie games like mario

That was an idiotic statement. While Mario may not be the best game of all time it’s a true classic that revolutionized the game industry above all else, and it is not “kiddie”.

Secondly, Wii therapy might not help soldiers who lost their arm, but in theory it could help broken arms, arms that have been shot, or burned arms depending on how bad the burns are.

*Sigh*

Wii is only part of the therapy, it can’t make up for actually physical activity but it’s doing something. Can’t argue against that, people.
