We all know Nintendo announced this at E3 2007 but here’s it’s own separate topic:
We know this will be used for Wii’s 2 light gun shooters, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Ghost Squad and I’m sure there are more projects to use this later on.
You know at first I was kinda dissappointed with all the accessories Nintendo was throwing around but I’ve been thinking in the days of the NES this is how it expanded games. I think we could all agree that Duck Hunt wouldn’t have been amazing without the original zapper.
And we may have nagged on Nintendo today for introducing 3 peripheals for Wii games but peripheals are coming back. I mean as stated they were used awhile back in the days of the NES and then started to come back around in the later days of N64. And now they seem to be something that can take a control scheme and make it work. Just like we want keyboard setup for our favorite RTS or FPS on consoles we want these peripheals to make games better gameplay and control wise. And after Guitar Hero came around and started showing that people don’t mind buying a game that comes with a huge peripheal with it but actually has attracted buyers.
So I think it may be wrong to accuse Nintendo of thier peripheals when really now having a peripheal for a good game could be a saling point.

dont games require u to press buttens on the wiimote, and shake up and down? this just makes it really hard to play
Yeah, I was wondering if this Zapper is only for certain games. I think you have to shake the entire Zapper and I guess the C and Z button are the options??
