Will or should Virtual reality come back?

If Virtual reality came back, who do you think would be able to support it the most? And who do you think would be able to perfect it the most?

A. Nintendo Wii

B. Microsoft Xbox

C. Sony Playstation 3

Sony hasn’t changed their controller design, they haven’t changed the name of the console, and they haven’t tried anything new with the exception of Blue-Ray, which was around before Sony came up with the PS3.

Microsoft might have some chance of going for it as they aren’t really in a rut, even though the 360 is little more then an ubered up Xbox, due to the fact that it’s Bill Gates, I could see them easily going in another direction, whether they go virtual reality or not is beyond me.

Nintendo would be the first company to try it, they’ve pioneered everything in the biz with the exception of online play. The Wii Remote is already a step in that direction, and if the trend continues, next gen I could see something a little more then just hand movements out of them.

P.Moore you are still complaining about the wii’s graphics? You know you cannot really compare the graphics if it was a game made solely for the wii, if it is a game like SSBB or MP3 you should go by what the wii can put out. Only real way you can compare any wii graphics to other console graphics is if it is a game made for all 3 systems like COD3.

Nintendo would undoubtfully try it first. They are the Kings, the big N of gaming. I’d say second would be Microsoft, followed closely by Sony.

I think Microsoft would be the most successful with it, they’ve already been fooling around with computers since the beginning of time, so they’ve got the technical prowess to hit it big with it.

It will be Nintendo. People fail to realize that Nintendo ON was probably something real but more used as an early advertisement by Nintendo marketing to show off the future. The only reason Sony would do it is if it works for Nintendo and they once again do the “Mii too” approach.

And MS would never do it cause thye never innovate or take god damn risks to try something like this. So it’s going to be Nintendo followed by Sony and possibly MS if they are still around then.

I think all of 3 of the consoles should try it, but if not then at least try 2 make a technology like 3d glasses where the game actually jumps at you.......well then again maybe not. A game like Resident Evil 5 on that type of technology may give certain people heart attacks, or cardiac arrest. lol

nintendo is going the way of interactivity u can tell becuase of the ds and wii, their next console is gona have more interactivity for sure, but did they really have to kill the graphics with wii! they are so horible compared to ps3 and 360! games on next gen consoles like ps3 and 360 are just better, why? i dono there are little improvements that make it better, say there was a game on ps1 that was also on ps2, the ps2 version was always funner

Fucked up? No. It was too far ahead of it’s time. With jsut the early entry of 3d graphics it just wasn’t time for it.

Hmmm....interesting details.

Virtual Boy has already come out, nintendo already has the technology, they are just waiting until the time is right. And with control pluggins for the wii remote, it might possibly be on the Wii.

Stereo goggles are the same technology as the old Virtual boy, just way better. If you go into your Video card settings, and your card is made in the last 3 years, you’ll find 1 to 5 tabs of information on Stereo settings. Video cards work in unison with the goggles to alter each pixel to the exact position. so anything 10 feet away looks 10 feet away.
