I’ve heard of this. It has something to do with the processor dislocating, or something along those lines.
And it’s very rarely the newer models. I’m pretty darn sure you will not find them (or very very very very very very very *breaths* very very very very very very very rarely) on an Elite console.

not according to my research. they said that e74 occurs more frequently after the installment of NXE. and its victims are mostly the newer models.
At least your 360 will turn on. Mine won’t even turn on and get a chance to freeze.
Right now as I type I have my 360 taken apart and I’m about to blow high pressure air through the air vents to clean out all the dust that may be inside. If this doesn’t work, it’s going into the trash.
Microsoft made the biggest mistake by by going with the cheapest bidder over seas and they manufactured the biggest pile of hardware shit! American product my ass. Not to mentioned the rushed design of the piece of junk.
I should have stuck with the PlayStation 3. I know I wouldn’t be having these problems.
