Xbox 360 owners i need some help

i am going to buy a 360 pro system today, can someone tell me the odds of it getting the red ring of death?

and if it dose can i send it back to microsoft?

well most new 360’s have a 65nm chip and heatsink so it shouldn’t break. But if it does then u can just send it to M$ and they’ll fix it for free. U get a 3 year warrenty

Get a warranty on it and you shall be fine.


I also heard to keep it on a solid surface, dont keep it on the carpet for long periods of times cuz it will heat up quicker. Idk, I heard someone at gamestop asking if they kept it on there carpet.

Of ALL 360 systems out the H3 edition has the highest chance of having the 65nm and Heatsink,

does it say this at the back? (175W)

Yes the Halo 3 version has both Heatsink and the 65nm chip you shouldnt have to worry about a hardware failure or the console over-heating.

All new 360s since Oct. have the new chipset and heatsink from the arcade all the way to the Halo 3 edition.

Yes, Look for the (175W) on the outside of the retail box before you buy a 360 which indicates it has the new 360 chip set and heatsink. Although, I bought an Elite 360 and it shows (203W) but I’m not sure why unless it’s for the extra HDMI capabilities.
