These are totally 2 different games. One is an in depth RPG that is close in many aspects to an offline MMO fantasy type game. While the other one is a huge strategy action adventure. I mean totally different games. You can’t compare them. That’s impossible. This is like comparing Mario and Grand Theft Auto. Too different haha.

Hmmm, seeing as how these games differ so much I’ll have to break them down into categories and add the numbers up.

Story Play Time - Twilight Princess
Total Play Time - Oblivion
Story - Twilight Princess
Graphics - Oblivion
Character Depth - Twilight Princess
Replay Value - Oblivion
Gameplay - Twilight Princess

Yeah... So basically this is extemely close, Oblivion is a great game for sure, but in the end having a linear story as well as short story and hardly no character depth kills it.

That doesn’t increse the play time of the Story itself unless you have to complete it to finish the story. And you don’t have to with that mission, so Twilight Princess has more story time, Oblivion has more total play time.

It took me about 45 hours to go through just the story in TP with minimal sidequests (I speant about two hours searching for the howling stones that I missed in Wolf form), it took me about 35 hours to do the Oblivion story, and I played around a lot in oblivion, you know leveling up to get the glass armour and such.

Oblivion’s main quest isn’t analagous to that of Twilight Princess because, in TP, the entire game is built around the main storyline. In Oblvion, a player can rack up well over 40 hours of “story” hours without ever touching the main quest.

That is what is awesome about oblivion, it breaks away from the linear RPG’s and finally gives a REAL RPG!

I dont know I just saw a screen in my magazine that compaired the two games maybe it was just a bad screen shot they used but I personally think that the Tp game looked better.
