The most brutal book I’ve read is The Bone Collector.The main villain loved to collect bones,and he would skin humans while they were alive,to get them.He was also a assistant in suicide.

I once read this book, and the whole time you thought it was some nice story of some guy looking for his parents, but in the end you find out he was just on drugs, his parents had been killed by the government, and he was about to be killed by the government as well.
