Why people buy terrible comics?

I wanna ask a question - why comics like Wolverine: Origins, Hulk vol.2 or Millar’s Fantastic Four, that are so full of shit, have such a good salary? They are so stupid, so wrong, so full of bullshit with jerks like Red Hulk, Romulus or Marquis of Death, that aren’t even funny - why are they so popular? Why people but so big pieces of shit, and good comics like She-Hulk, Eternals, or Captain Britain & MI:13 are being cancelled? It dosn’t have any sense to me.

Because their the current mascots wolverine could eat a baby and they’ll still buy comics.

Because they are stubborn collectors who must have everything Hulk, Wolverine, _______.

No, consumers don’t want to read bullshit.

But you have to understand how some of these comic fanboys grew up. They aren’t wired to think like normal human beings. They’re like sports fans in that they stick with their character through the good and the bad, and like a bad team ran by money grubbers who could care less about winning, as long as the comics continue to sell in high volume (like the Hulk), the writer will stay on. You can try to reason with these fanboys, but they’ll just cry about “loyalty” and “being a collector” and “still wanting to read ____ stories regardless."

Trust, I’ve had to spend many afternoons listening to whiny, pasty, geek ass comic fanboys talk shit about a writer only to put their hard earned (or mother earned) $$$ down to keep the writer on the book.
