I havent read enough of the NOvels but Ive noticed the Novels I have read tend to re-use plot points and also borrow liberally from other Fantasy books. Still the books are okay but I dont think the franchise deserves this much attention especially the related movies and merchandise. I think J.K Roling is a bit overated but she at least got a generation of kids reading.

Its not that J.k Rowling sucks , its just that she has this immense talent . She can craft amazingly realistic dialogue . Although just a work of fiction while reading the dialogue i have often felt as though this was a transcript word for word of real exchanges between groups of people . I felt as though they were sitting beside me having this exchange . However , after goblet of fire she knows shit about plot , characterization , structure and the result is something a little less tedious than the ridiculous amounts of sequels dune crapped out .
However her skill for dialogue never fades and even in the worse of her books this truly shines through .
At least shes better than Stephen King , i can tell shes not on drugs while shes writing the books

Admit it , on this message board harry potter is the only thing any of us has read . It is a coming of age story something that will propel us into the harsh reality of the world and do things like drinking fucking and drugs , education and jobs .
