how to convert AVI to DVD

I’ve been trying to convert my AVI files to DVD, and i just can’t find the right program, winavi did’nt work, cause it puts a message in themiddle of th screen promoting the program....so..can someone tell which program to download?
I just wanna watch my videos in my house dvd...:0(

Your Winavi is leaving a watermark in the middle of your video, due to being a trial version. You can search for a serial number to remove with watermarks at cracknet.org.
