You cant compare them because they were two way different aproaches on the Joker but I thought Heath did an amazing job. And Heath did go a bit crazy from his part taking pills to keep him up and put him to sleep. He was sleeping only about an hour a night and yes OD killed him. He would sleep in mental hospitals trying to get his part down and later on drove him insane.

No, that’s just a rumor. Heath wasn’t the kind of person that lets parts go to his head.
Supposedly, his sleeping disorder combined with how mentally disturbing the character was, is what lead to his death.
No he died with an accidental drug overdose. More than likely took 2 pills together that didn’t go with each other and it killed him. All that about him playing a mentally disturbing character was media bullshit.
Heath explained it himself before he died that after he began the role that he began developing problems, including inability to sleep.

Heath remind me more of the comic book Joker
Yup. Jack’s Joker wasn’t based on the comics. It was completely improvised, I believe.
Jack version reminded me of the animated Joker where Heaths was just spot on a well written joker makes you laugh in innapropiate situation and feel bad about it afterwords also Joker is super insane he’ll kill you if doesn’t like your shoes he’ll kill you if he does.

But he didn’t want to kill himself. That’s just fundamentalist media bullshit trying to think dark entertainment is ruining the world.
Never said he did. The role, which he was loosing a lot of sleep because of the way he made himself think, lead to his taking of several different pills. Which ultimately killed him.

If you met The Joker, depending on his mood, he could kill you or give you a thousand dollars. He’s not 'insane' he’s 'super sane'
Ledger. Batman Begins & The Dark Knight elevated Batman from a campy comic book adaption to brooding, intelligent films that could be taken seriously. In my book, that’s a first for this genre.. Jack was good for the 89' film. Heath was good...period.
