That doesn’t say anything about skill, though. Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys topped charts. And the rap that tops the charts does suck, usually. I’m not on either side. MAINSTREAM sucks. MTV sucks. Radio sucks. BET really sucks.

BET doesn’t care about black people. They say they do, but it’s a farce. They care about the almighty dollar. They’re a friggin' joke. Listen to some Public Enemy or The Coup. And most people like whatever they hear. They’re too lazy to look for the good shit, if it’s not on TV or radio, which are controlled by the major media moguls. Popularity has nothing to do with talent. People buy whatever is fed to them. Lots of suckass groups are popular. Why? Because people’s taste suck. There are still lots of people can’t who can’t stand the mainstream shit. Rap or rock. Even a lot of the rap I listen to isn’t top 40 garbage.
