Overall it is probably Death Note/Code Geass but right now it is Spice and Wolf.

Is Code Geass any good - i have been pretty reluctant to watching it so far... and i tend to put story over action whats it like? compare it to something?

It is longer than Death Note, but it is split into two seasons.
