I don’t know who the fuck Axl Rose is at all, and I know Tupac for his music.

Axl Rose is the frontman of Guns N Roses. And one of the greatest frontmen of all time.

Hiro is right, people know Tupac because of his death. People know Axl because Guns N Roses is one of the greatest bands ever.

It’s more like, people that don’t listen to rap know Tupac for his death, while people that don’t listen to rock don’t know Axl at all.

Even people who don’t listen to rock generally know who Axl Rose is. And I heavily doubt that anybody over the age of 13 doesn’t know Guns N Roses. Fuck, even you know the band. Unless of course you’re one of those freaks that listen to nothing but rap music. And in that case, I feel sorry for you.

That’s not true at all, I can ask anybody I know that doesn’t listen to rock who Axl Rose is and I doubt they’ll know who I’m talking about, where as I’ve only met one person who didn’t know who Tupac was.

People know who Axl Rose is because nearly everybody has heard Welcome to the Jungle or Paradise City. I on the other hand, have never heard a Tupac song.

Thus proving that Axl is famous for his music. Tupac is famous for his death.

That’s false logic there, one survey size is extremely small, consisting solely of you and your friends, two not everybody has heard Welcome to the Jungle, hell I wouldn’t of heard it if I didn’t play San Andres. Plus, because a song is famous doesn’t mean a guy is famous.

1. I didn’t say it’s a survey between me and my friends. I said I’m sure tons of people haven’t heard a Tupac song.
2. You did play San Andreas. So did 10 million other people. So guess what? You’ve heard it and it’s likely all the rest did too.
3. Axl is considerably famous. He’s even been called one of the greatest frontmen in Rock.

Pure speculation then, just because you assume something doesn’t make it true. Tupac is also considerably famous, he’s even been called one of the greatest rapper of all time.

Meh. They’re probably equally famous. Axl is still more vocally talented though.

Rarely. Usually a computer is used to make beats, I do not exactly consider that an instrument. Every once in a while a guitar is introduced, but other than that, there are pretty much no instruments.

I don’t think you can comprehend what I said. Maybe that recreational pot is messing with your brain.

You said comparing rock and rap is like comparing video games and soda. Which is completely stupid and ignorant. Rock and Rap are both music. What the hell do video games and soda have to do with each other? Nothing. Therefore you comparison isn’t a figure of speech. It’s an extremely stupid and ignorant analogy that makes absolutely no sense.

Rock Rap = Music

RPGs FPSs = Video Games

Video Games Soda = A malfunctioning PS3

The problem is here, even though I enjoy rap, I do not find it as music, but as a form of poetry mainly. So to me, yes, they are completely different things. Rock is music, Rap is poetry.

Then stop presenting your opinion as a fact. You may not think rap is music, but it actually is. Mmk?

I frankly do not see how it is music, the only aspect really involved that is musical is the rhythm and rhyme, but music is more than that. Rhythm and rhyme alone is a poetic aspect. That is why I view it as poetry mainly.

There. I bolded it for you so that you’d better understand.

What is wrong with expressing my opinion now?

Here, I bolded it AND made it huge so that you can HOPEFULLY (but not likely) understand.

I see it, you are obviously are not comprehending my question. What is wrong with me stating my opinions? Did I ever say “this is a fact” in my post?

You stated your opinion as fact when you said that Rock and Rap are too different to compare since Rock is music and Rap isn’t.

That was my opinion on the subject. Everyone’s post says whether or not Axl or 2pac is better, and its all opinion, but they are stating as you say “as if it were fact."

No, the Guns part of the name came from the co-founder Tracii Guns, whom before the band went on tour quit to reform L.A. Guns. He was indeed replaced by Slash though. However, the name came from Tracii Guns.

Yeah it was. I think almost everyone knows that band.
