They may not be the best but I think they should get a mention at the very least. From wisdom to hate is one of my favourite tracks. Obscura’s just trippy.
1) The Faceless they have undoubtedly mastered the art of tech death the synchronization between drummer and guitarist is rediculous, if you liked akeldama, planetary duality will blow your fucking mind, especially if your a musician
2) Necrophagist of course you’ve heard of the german brutal death metal bastards, shredding away on the diminished seventh, once again awesome musicians, including the bassist (isn’t too common in metal but seems to be gaining popularity)
3)Illogicist: a somewhat unknown band, i don’t know where they come from, can’t remember guessing somewhere near sweden, finland etc. another good tech death band
4) beneath the massacre i saw these guys with the faceless, not much variation in tech death, gravity blasts, sweeping, time signature changes, blast beats, everything is there
decrepit birth , severed savior , disgorge(on consume the forsaken),cryptopsy , deprecated , odious mortem , ophiolatry (I dont know if I could label it as technical , but sounds technical enough to me , even with the low quality recording), spawn of possession..
and yea , deicide’s lyrical theme is retarded.. there is nothing to do with deathspell omega’s downright orthodox satanism and deicide’s “Fu** your God” ignorant satanic attitude . DSO’s lyrics are by far one of the smartest left hand path written arts, even way more advanced then the so called Laveyan satanic bible , which is a cookbook from an atheist point of view.
but hey! after all, deicide is not bad musically, and glen benton is excused for his stupidity , since most satanic extreme metal lyrics are not that smart either.. and deicide is NOT technical.
