I personally would have to go with the old metal, because without the push that bands like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath gave the genre, metal would never be as great as it is today.

without old metal there would be no new metal but there are a lot of new metal bands who are equally as talented

i cant choose between the two

Dang, this is an old topic.

And I have to say somewhere in the middle. The bands that emerged in the late 80’s throughout the 90’s are some pretty beastly stuff.

Old metal has more of a legacy, but I’m going by what I prefer to listen to.

i love old metal, thats the stuff i grew up on, but for me personally i have to expand my interest in the music so right now im going to have to go with newer metal
