death metal vs. black metal

which genre do you like more?

I like death metal a lot more, but some bands like Emperor and Deathspell Omega are just amazing black metal bands.

I do like a bit of Mercyful Fate and Ihsahn, but Opeth has branded an ornately designed 'O' into my heart

Death Metal, just because it’s generally more listenable (better production quality). That said, many Black Metal bands incoporate alsorts of random influences that keep the genre interesting.

It’s all good.

Death. It’s usually much heavier than Black metal. Most Black metal is pretentious, but there are some good B/M bands every now and then.

death metal and black metal are both so fucking awesome. i think i would have to maybe choose death metal though.

Cradle aren’t Black metal, they’re power and symphonic extreme. Opeth aren’t melodic, they’re progressive.

umm like the first 3 or 4 Cradle albums were all black metal no question..look em up man..they were pretty good to better than their new stuff
