well, many have been saying hip hop is dead, many new artists have claimed to be its messiah yet hip hop in particular its music has barely changed since it was proclaimed dead - in your opinion though

who do you think is saving hip-hop
whose ruining it

Hip Hop ain’t dead, but it’s not what it used to be. The 80 and 90s were the best years for Hip Hop.

Due to the mainstream crappy rappers, yes, Hip Hop is dying. Luckily, it will return underground though, hence, the mainstream and corporations will let go of Hip Hop and find some other form of music to piss on and try to ruin. When they leave, real Hip Hop will return.

Back in the 80s and 90s, it was thriving.

Yeah, Rock music is coming back and overpowering Rap now. It is funny, whenever there is a popular form of music out, people love that music for a while, then get out if it, then Rock becomes popular again lol.

Rock is great, but it seems more like Punk Rock, which is sad to me, though some of the bands are good. Now bands like Godsmack, I like.

Hip Hop isn’t dying or resting or whatever it’s just changing people need to realize it’s NOT the 80,90s those days are over Hip Hop is changing so of course artist aren’t going to sound the same they did in 90s that doesn’t mean that it’s dying it’s just evolving in 5-10 years it will change again and won’t sound like what it is today.

actually both are doing about the same, where I live ther are more ans of rap tha nrock and its a generally white/asian area.

however, I think there are a couple of mainstream rapers keeping it alive, game, lupe fiasco, kanye, common, and them
poeple like soulja boy and 50 cent are killing it though

I know that. I’m just saying it was better back in the day, but that’s just my opinion.

but the content is disappearing, the fact someone like soulja boy or V.I.C. can become millionaire for nothing more than a catchy chorus and horrible rapping skills is saying something

people who are saying something are getting ignored there is no way hurrican chris should be doing better than someone like chamillionaire
