Im english and I can honestly tell you that the X Factor isn’t a talent show. It doesn’t make music, it makes product. All the good contestants have their entire originality ripped away almost immediatly, given a makeover, and are forced into typecast music roles. Their either a Mariah Carey, a Will Young, a Rihana or (since season 3) a Leona Lewis. None are given the chance to be their own person, just a copy of someone more succesful.
The music choice for this show is awful, with the public audience (a group of sixteen year old girls) voting off anyone who sings anything other then dull, overplayed RnB or pop. And the fact that popularity goes before talent is another turnoff.
A hope that your American Idol doesnt become the same as this drivel.
Haha, becomes like? It is owned by the same guy, it is the exact same thing, only had more seasons. American Idol is exactly like that, son.
This guy tried to come in with a kinda heavy rock voice, and he was kinda good, but they denied him because they weren’t looking for that kinda voice.
They want a poor pop singer that they can manipulate with.Each week is a horrible theme that they keep on a tight string... And USA Eats it up.
Same over here. First lesson monday is an hours history and 3/4 of it is the teacher talking to the girls about it. Me and my friend just sit there laughing about some of the things they say e.g. “He shouldn’t win!!! He can’t dance” & “I didnt want him to win; he had a strange nose”
I serously don’t have a clue why people like that sort of program. Do you have Big Brother over there yet?

Hey, that is just 1 form of singing. It takes talent. And it sounds awesome with the heavy beat
