Man I actually think Candy Shop was better than Lolipop. But don´t take my word for it,because I listen to real rap.So I´m not really good at judging commercial songs.

Well it´s true SPEAKERZZZ slapped himself a bit, when he said sellings=quality. The song from Nas wasn´t really good. But wasn´t really for the bad shit. But you have to admit Supa Ugly wasn´t really a good song to.Jay just had to respond to Ether. He did it to not lose all of his respect.
sellings say something about the song. quality is opinion, no? so if you wanna get technical and try to back up your point, it helps to use stats. oochie wally is a classic. i don’t know what king john is smoking. also, supa ugly was a VERY BAD comeback against nas. notice how jay needed TWO songs to get at nas and still lost. pathetic.
Well I have to dissaggre with you.Sellings don´t prove anything about your skill. They just prove how much you invested into marketing.Take an example:If Soulja Boy´s album sells like 10million copys.Does that mean hes better than let´s say Lupe Fiasco who sells 800k copys? No.That only means either that people are stupid or Soulja Boy invested much more money into marketing.

I never said anything about Candy Shop, I’d have to look into it more to see which one is better.
PS. Commercial rap is no less real than any other type of rap music, just a different type.

So your saying commercial rap is equal to real rap?In terms of skill?.....Interesting....

First, off you need to define exactly what you mean by “REAL RAP”, what I said was there is no such thing as REAL RAP, there’s just RAP. There can be good or bad, but not fake or real.

Rap is just rap. Whether you do it for the money, or for the sake of loving the music, it’s rap, whether you want to call it commercial or real. Most rap today is shit, well, most that you see on television or hear on local radio stations. Otherwise, most of the slept on albums and things of the like are excellent.
For example, some GOOD shit.

you have a point but you’re not looking at the context im putting this in. im not comparing oochie wally to any other song. i am simply saying it’s a good song and it went gold, which means a lot of people like it. youre interpreting this differently.
No matter what the genre, no matter where it’s from, no matter what the decade, the majority of music you will come across will be total garbage.
Saying the majority of rap is shit means nothing because the majority of rock, metal, pop, punk, and even orchestral music is complete, uninspired garbage.
So yes, the majority of rap is shit, but saying that the majority of rap is shit is just stupid because you’re being unfair to all the other genres that have worked hard to have their name ruined by talentless hacks.

I agree, I was only saying Rap because he said Rap, not because that is the only genre with a rather extensive skeleton closet.
One thing I don’t agree with though, the majority of Orchestral Music? But, prove me wrong, by all means.

While people like to act as if orchestral music is some infallible art form, it’s got more than its share of hacks.
