Slayer and Cradle of Filth are not Death Metal.

Lamb of god isnt death, and deceased is more of a death/thrash hybrid.

Slayer is thrash metal, and Lamb of God is a mix of metalcore, groove metal, and thrash. I’d call them mainly groove though.

Anyway, ignoring the melodic death metal genre, pure death metal bands that rule are Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, and older Hypocrisy.

Black metal bands you should check out (besides obvious things like Emperor) are Deathspell Omega, Satanic Warmaster, and Destroyer 666

Yeah, and you are very stereotypical. First off, for the most part, metalheads do not like goth music. Number two, metal is more music than your mainstream shit will ever be. Metal is about the music, not the money like the crap you probably listen to.
