Metal is a musical form usually stereotyped by people who focus on pop culture such as rap, pop, and other pop forms of music. Because of metal’s intense, angry, and sometimes depressing atmosphere, metal has remained as an aquired taste of music.
Metal was inspired by the hard rock bands of the '70s such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and others. These artists then influenced the first metal band, Black Sabbath. The intensity and anger of this band created the new musical genre of metal, which is know as possible the most complex and difficult music to play because of the raging riffs, drum solos, and vocals.
After Sabbath came bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, and others who expanded the genre into even more genres, called metal subgenres. These include the genres of death metal, black metal, thrash metal, doom metal, and many more.
I am just posting this 'cause too many people in America have been dissing this brilliant form of music, and I want people to understand this musical form.

Metal sucks. It’s all screaming, no offense.
Okay, what bands have you been listening to? Slipknot? Korn? System of a Down? If so, that is not real metal.
Metal vocals usually range in different styles within genres.
Death Metal-Growling like singing
Black Metal-Raspy sing
Thrash Metal-Fast singing
Doom Metal-Singing. Nothing more or less. Usually slow paced.
Metalcore-THIS is where you hear the screaming. Metalcore is not even comepletely metal.
What music do you listen to even? Rap? If so, go back and listen to your crappy pop culture crap.
MTV sucks IF they do play metal (and they never do because they’re to busy licking 50 cents nuts) its shitty nu metal i just stick w/ the Music Choice metal channel 85% of the metal they play is really good

everything. rap artists make more money too.
k, here is my side on HOW METAL IS BETTER:
1, Metal actually takes talent
2, There is emotion in metal
3. Metal is all about the music than the money (unlike your rappers)
4. Metal stays true to their fans (unlike rap)

there is no talent in metal. all i have to do is yell into a mic and BAM, its METAL.
there is only anger in metal.
Okay, do this. Try to attemp the guitar solos they play in metal, which are like, what? 20 notes a second? And try to attempt the growls and screams they do in metal it is harder than you think. I know because I have tried. I am in a metal band, and I know, because I have been in the band more than a year, and I still can’t do it right.
Rap is talentless. It is just talking into a mic saying “yo my bitches, you my hoes, you im gonna pop a cop."
Let us look at a guitar solo in metal here, I copied it from the solo from “Holy Night” by Stratovarius.
Let us look at rap lyrics.
[Chorus:]
This is why I’m hot[2x]
This is why[2x] Uh
This is why I’m hot (Uh)
This is why I’m hot[2x] Whoo
This is why[2x]
This is why I’m hot
I’m hot cause I’m fly (fly)
You ain’t cause you’re not (Mims)
This is why[2x]
This is why I’m hot[2x]
[Verse 1:]
This is why I’m hot
I don’t gotta rap
I can sell a mill saying nothing on the track
I represent New York
I got it on my back
Niggas say that we lost it
So I’m gonna bring it back
I love the dirty, dirty
'Cause niggas show me love
The ladies start to bounce
As soon as I hit the club
But in the Midwest
They love to take it slow
So when I hit the H
I watch you get it on the floor
And if you needed it hyphy
I take it to the Bay
Frisco to Sac-town
They do it everyday
Compton to Hollywood
As soon as I hit L.A.
I’m in that low, low
I do it the Cali way
And when I hit Chi
People say that I’m fly
They like the way I dress they like
(They like my) my attire move crowds from side to side
They ask me how I do it and simply I reply...
[Chorus]
[Verse 2:]
This is why I’m hot
Catch me on the block
Every other day
Another bitch another drop
16 bars, 24 pop
44 songs, nigga gimme what you got
I’m in there driving cars
Push 'em off the lot
I’m into shutting stores down so I can shop
If you need a bird I can get it chopped
Tell me what you need you know I get 'em by the flock
I call my homie black meet on the ave
I hit Wash Heights with the money in the bag
We’re into big spinners
See my pimping never dragged
Find me with different women that you niggas never had
For those who say they know me know I’m focused on my cream
player you come between you’d better focus on the beam
I keep it so mean the way you see me lean
And when say I’m hot my nigga dis is what I mean
[Chorus]
Yeah, little creative talent from my POV.
Let us look at metal lyrics. This is from one of my personal favs, Immortal’s “One By One."
Aeons ago the legends tell we rode onward
Led astray by the northern chaos gods
Calm before the storm we came from the north...
Horses roamed in the open landscaped
The scald sang to their kings
Only he who battle wins
The scald sang to their kings
Let the battle he fought to the won
Tremble with fear for the banner of our kings
War now calls heed to the battle
Hear our swords clinging in the wind
Men cast from their saddles horses roar and scream
Descendants of wrath and the kingdoms of fear...
The might we possess burn like fire
The will remain in our northern hearts...
More scalps to be won - an eye for an eye
Aeons ago the legends tell we rode onward
Led astray by the northern chaos gods
One by one by the northern tribe you fall
One by one... die by the strongest of them all
Still theres only greatness sunged in those who fell
Who battled strong to win these wars...
One by one we took your lives
Grey mist swirl across the meadows...
Where battles once ruled the steps
Where the ancient armours of bronce
Are buried and corrored by time
Strong where those who won the war...
And the legends tell only of wrath
As brothers of the northern tribes...
They guarded the horders of chaos
We leave this Battlefields ground
Red where the rivers of blood
Unforgotten by the ones...
Born of strength and glory
There is a ton more writing and creative ability in that, definately.
