Above The Law, The Game, Afroman, Bishop Lamont, The Black Eyed Peas, Compton’s Most Wanted, Coolio, Cypress Hill, Crooked I, Dr. Dre, Daz Dallinger, Kurupt, Tha Dogg Pound, DJ Quik, Brotha Lynch, Eazy-E,Fort Minor, Tupac Shakur,Too $hort, WC, Mac 10, Xzibit, Yukmouth, Nate Dogg, MC Eiht, MURS, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Ya Boy, San Quinn, MC Ren, Andre Nickatina, NWA,Jurassic 5 Hieroglyphics, Messy Marv, MC Hammer, RBL Posse, Quik etc...

rofl... seriously?

Hiero, MC Hammer, Too $hort & Mac 10 is from Oakland... and yea, there’s a huge difference between LA & Oakland (not to mention the 500 mile gap)

Anyways, moving on...

This aint a fair comparison. There simply aint as many rappers out of LA as there are out of NYC. LA aint as big as NYC (population-wise) either; you’d have to combine LA, Oakland & SF to equal NYC. With that in mind, here’s some great rappers groups from LA:

2Pac
2MEX
Above The Law
Abstract Rude
Aceyalone
Blackaliscious/Gift Of Gab
Blu
Cypress Hill
Crooked I
Daz Dillinger
The DOC
Tha Dogg Pound
Freestyle Fellowship
Ice Cube
Jurassic 5
Kurupt
L’Roneous Da Versifier
Lil' 1/2 Dead
Living Legends
Lootpack
Mad CJ Mac
Murs
NWA
The Pharcyde
Quasimoto/Madlib
DJ Quik
Ras Kass

Oakland:
The BUMS
The Grouch
Hiero
Hobo Junction
Lateef
Saafir
Seagram
Too $hort

There’s plenty more which I aint thinkin of right now but that’s a pretty decent list

^you don’t think The Roots have a legacy? They were even nick-named The Legendary Roots Crew because they dropped five classics in a row (Organix-Things Fall Apart)

Will smith isn’t that little twig like on fresh prince anymore, and he’s definately a better actor.
