out of the many years that i have been inclined to music, as far as listening and studying many different varieties of music including almost every form of rock out there. I do not believe that metal sucks because i have been a huge fan of metal since i was very young but seriously, In my mind slipknot is associated with the “tools” that cannot find friends of there own or are not in the group of people that they desire to be in so they listen to what they believe is different to try and set themselves apart because they just cant be in that cool group they always desired, but honestly, you are not different. you may preach about anti-conformatism but it is the same group of shitheads that listen to the same shitty ass music thinking it is different. The only thing i can see in that band is joey jordison, he is a musically inclined percussionist to an extent, but he is not the best “damn drummer” out there as fucking everyone who listens to that band says. Posers play the music, posers listen to it. you ever heard of mushroomhead? look it up, its like the same fucking band that played 5 years before slipknot. Slipknot just copied them and gained more popularity. If you can willingly declare slipknot as the best band ever, open your eyes and if you really want to be that different, stop listening to shitty ass music and make your own you fuckers

Better singers: Every member of Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Greg Lake of ELP, Neil Morse of Spock’s Beard (They ain’t that famous, but they so kick ass... look 'em up on YouTube), and David Byrne of Talking Heads. Better Guitarists... Hendrix, Page, Slash, Santana, Petrucci, Vai, Buckethead... Trust me, there are a lot of them.
For “maggots” searching for a way out of the poppy psuedo-metal that is Slipknot, start with Train of Thought era Dream Theater. Slightly nu-metaly riffs, catchy songs. Give “As I Am” a listen on youtube, you shall be shown the light. Good luck on your journey to decent music that won’t get you cast out of civilized society....

I do notl ike Slipknot’s sound. they are slow compared to Municipal Waste and Nuclear Assault. They are Nice compared to Bloodbath and Nile. They light compared to Ahab and Nortt. Finally, they are Wimpy compared to Dark Fortress and Satyricon.
Slipknot tries to be extreme, but fails on every level.
They are not Savage like Black Metal bands are
they are not Brutal like Death Metal bands can be
They are not fast like thrash is.

Wow, Slipknot is brutal? You are an idiot. They are nowhere near brutal. Slipknot is a very soft band. They are not punishing. It is punishing to metal because of what an embarrasment they are, but not the way you think of.
